I've almost finished this book before I realised that I've read one of the author's stories before. (He did say in the introducing remarks that 'Burning Bridges' is one of his more popular stories.) It was in an anthology of Sci-fi/Fantasy Erotica edited by Cecilia Tan, and I might have ignored his story for another one that featured a boy training to be a perfect submissive. :P

THE DRAG QUEEN OF ELFLAND by Lawrence Schimel is a fun collection of fantasy short stories imbued with an unashamedly queer spirit. There should be many more books like this, but unfortunately, there aren't :( I loved it and treasure it as a unique book in my collection.

It's been a bit since I read the book, but I definitely want to buy a copy or run out to the library to refresh myse...more
