Kaycee's a supermodel who's getting a little bored with the modeling business. Although she's worked hard to achieve success and has met a lot of her career goals, her heart's not really in it any more. She became a model almost by accident, when she was 'discovered' at a coffee shop near her college campus. And though she's set financially, she's not really sure what path to take for the rest of her life. Well, that all changes one evening after a photo shoot when she's kidnapped by a serial killer.

Sam and Tyler Warren are identical twins who share a psychic gift. Ever since they were twelve years old they've been helping the F.B.I. by using their psychic abilities to help find missing persons. Now working as profilers for the F.B.I., they're on the case helping to find Kaycee since she was reported missing. A scarf was found at the scene where she was abducted, and by using their unusual mental abilities and by touching Kaycee's scarf they are able to determine that she's still alive, but struggling to break free from her captor. She eventually gets away, bravely fleeing and is eventually spotted by a policeman and is taken to a hospital. Although shaken from her ordeal, she is surprised by the attraction she feels for the gorgeous man sitting by her hospital bed. And oh my, another one just like him is standing in the doorway...

Well, the F.B.I. figures that Kaycee's life is in danger, and they leave it up to super twins Sam and Tyler to protect her until they can crack the case. Sam and Tyler bring Kaycee to their secluded Texas ranch to hide out. Sam and Tyler have been looking a long time for a woman to love who can love them back equally, but haven't had much luck. All the women eventually leave, knowing that they can't live the lifestyle of one woman with two men. Something tells Tyler that Kaycee may be the woman that could fulfill their dreams, but Sam's a bit reluctant to try again. He doesn't know if he can face the heartbreak of another woman leaving them. Since they both can feel that Kaycee's attracted to them, they decide to give it a shot to see where it may lead. But there will be no seduction involved--they want Kaycee to come to them willingly.

And boy does she ever! The twins are irresistable--Sam is a dominant alpha type, while Tyler is more charming and easy-going. Each is a skilled, passionate lover--but together they are out of this world. It's not long before Kaycee's thinking that maybe she's capable of this whole menage thing, but then she starts to wonder if it's just overwhelming lust, or is it really turning into love? And how much are her feelings being influenced by the extreme situation that she's in? Will her feelings for the brothers change once the serial killer is found and she gets her life back?

This was an easy, quick read, and boy was it a hot one! Although the sex scenes were very hot, there weren't so many of them that you felt like that's all the book was about. And boy oh boy, Sam and Tyler were every woman's dream--a little dominant, a lot protective, easy on the eye, and nice guys, too. I never felt like they were pushing Kaycee into doing something she didn't want--they always wanted Kaycee to be sure before they did anything. And Kaycee wasn't a doormat either--she had a good career and she thought long and hard about where she thought the relationship was heading, and whether she could give up her career and live a menage lifestyle in a small town.

There was only one thing that bothered me. When they finally pinpointed who the serial killer was and that he was obsessed with Kaycee and was spotted in town, why didn't the F.B.I. provide some protection (other than the twins) to Kaycee? And since Kaycee and the twins were each millionaires, why didn't they hire their own protection, instead of relying on the ranch hands as protection?. That made no sense to me. A minor quibble, but everything was mostly believable to me up to that point, and that bugged me a little.

Overall, this was probably one of the most believable menage-type stories that I ever read. Usually I feel that "yeah, that was a hot read, but no way would that work in real life". But this book had me thinking that yeah, this threesome may just be able to pull it off. If you like an erotic read with two sexy alpha guys, a pretty brave heroine and a nice suspenseful plot, "Their One and Only" may be the book for you!

3.5 stars, rounded up! Trista Ann Michaels' "Their One and Only" is a combination of erotica, mystery, and action with a smattering of the paranormal. The heroine is certainly a damsel in distress and the heroes are hunky FBI types. All three characters have been hurt in the game of love before and are therefore a little wary about opening their hearts. I like that Michaels didn't ignore the mystery and action for the sex. It's all there and it all plays a part in the story.

She's salted away enough cash, invested it well, and is tired of the constant lifestyle restrictions necessary to be a top model. Sam and Tyler are profilers for the FBI who use their unique twin psychic connection to help solve crimes. When they're called in on Kaycee's case, they realize she's the ultimate target of a serial killer who's been operating for a while now...snatching women who resemble her until he can get a shot at Kaycee. When they use their special senses to connect to Kaycee, Tyler quickly succumbs to her strength and beauty. So he convinces Sam to bring her to their ranch to protect her--and hopefully give her a chance to come to love BOTH of them. Because being identical twins with their kind of connection requires a special kind of woman...one who can accept them both.

I enjoyed the majority of the book and even thought the plot was pretty well done for one so well-used. My only big beef was the killer and how incredible I found it that Kaycee hadn't caught on to him before. Also how he was so agile in evading detection and managed to get to her under the brothers' care. But if you can overlook these things, you'll probably enjoy "Their One and Only". And for those who dislike menage books with anal sex, there's none of that here. So you can enjoy your guilty pleasures!(less)

Their One and Only is a hot and sexy read that will leave you breathless. Trista Ann Michaels has created a fabulous story of suspense and intrigue mixed with passionate, spicy sex. I really enjoyed this book! It had a nice storyline with a good amount of suspense, at least for an erotica. Although Kaycee started out as a "damsel in distress", I didn't get that impression throughout the story. Sure she had nightmares about him, but I didn't feel like it held her back or made her weak. Although I would have thought she would have felt more guilt for all the murders. I mean, she saw Miranda before she died. But like I said, I thought the storyline was decent for an erotica.

What do you get when you mix 50% sex, 40% plot and character development, and 10% sadistic sexual torture? A fairly fucked up book.

I'm torn because, on the one hand, I, mostly, enjoyed the book and found it immensely readable. The characters were likable enough, the sex was solid if not spectacular, and the premise —two twins with one soul—was intriguing. I read it in a day, and didn't want to put it down. The characters were likable enough, the sex was solid if not spectacular, and the premise —two twins with one soul—was intriguing. I read it in a day, and didn't want to put it down. However, this book had massive flaws throughout and the ending was pretty damn illogical and, therefore, irritating.

First, what genre was this book trying to be? Our heroes are FBI profilers, ahem psychic FBI profilers, which one would think would be a full time job, but are also full time ranchers with an extremely profitable business. Cowboy FBI Agents you say? Trying to get it both ways, I say.
Second, I found it so strange that this book interspersed sex/ romance scenes with scenes of fairly graphic sexual torture. Dude, way to kill and then bludgeon the mood. In one scene our heroes and heroine are joking about all the sex they are having and how it is going to kill her *ha*. This scene is immediately followed to a switch to the killer's POV where he is lubing up with his victim's blood while she begs him just to kill her. WTF!? Who thought this was a good transition? There are a lot of scenes like that, and, because of the harsh transitions, they killed the story. Intestines should not be a featured part of a romance/ erotic story, just sayin'.
Third, Sam and Tyler had potential but could have been so much better. Who doesn't like hot, alpha males, but these two really blended together. Kaycee kept saying that they were so different, but I never saw them behaving in consistently different ways.
Fourth, the characters sometimes acted counter to all known logic. You know a serial killer is obsessed with Kaycee and has murdered and tortured a number of women. Kaycee herself has been kidnapped and undergone psychological trauma. These facts should really guide your actions. But, no, Kaycee seems fairly fancy free throughout the story, and the boys sure seem to be getting back to running that ranch despite the fact that they are on protection duty. I don't know, it just didn't ring true to me.
Still, I found many of these flaws unintentionally hilarious and wasn't exactly looking for complex when I picked up this book so all would have been, somewhat, forgiven if not for that ridiculous ending.
Enter massive plot holes, completely out of character behaviour, and unrealistic outcomes. Also, fuck, communicate people, it cures a lot of problems!!

This book would have gotten a three star rating because it was fun if shallow, but the ending pissed me off, which, in turn, made me madder about the other problems in this book I had fairly happily overlooked.

These twins work . The premise of their 'power' being they can link with the owner of an item if both of them are touching it at the same time and that they can feel what the other is feeling (pain & pleasure) naturally leads into the consequence that if one of them falls in love the other will as well. The different personalities also works for me as I've come across that idea before (that they're two parts of a whole so one is more forceful than the other) and it also just seems to make sense.

Hot sex and simple but likeable characters

- The action starts almost as soon as you learn the heroine’s name; she’s kidnapped on page 4, and the plot is fairly fast-paced for several chapters after that.
- The sex scenes are very hot. I was a little disappointed in the order of them, though: there’s a real bell-ringer of a sex scene at one point, but it’s only a little over halfway through the book, so everything after it falls a bit short.
- Parts of the plot/premise are interesting. I liked the idea of twins who were so psychically connected that they could connect to others as well. The fact that they could see Kaycee’s initial escape from her kidnapper was interesting to me.
- The story’s conclusion is sweet, sweet, sweet.

CONS:
- The relationship is just a touch strange. I sort of understand ménage relationships in which each person is equally attracted to the other two, but relationships like this one, in which two of the people aren’t physically attracted to each other, are weird to me. I just don’t get how jealousy wouldn’t enter into the equation. Michaels says repeatedly in this story that there’s no jealousy, though, so mostly I believed her.
- Kaycee’s escape from the killer’s lair at the beginning of the book, which leads her into the two brothers’ protective arms, is pretty heart-pounding and exciting. The tension builds with every sentence and the guy just keeps. coming. back. But then the book’s FINAL confrontation is over pretty quickly. The description of the climactic scene is about half the length of the book’s first escape scene.
- A few of the scenes describing the serial killer’s actions are disturbing and a little hard to read.

Overall comments: If you’re open to reading about ménage relationships at all, you’ll probably like this. The sex scenes are really something, though I must admit that I’ve read very little m/f erotica, much less m/f/m. Both of the male characters are extremely thoughtful and generous, though, and the heroine is strong and spunky, so overall I enjoyed this quite a bit.(less)

This is the first non-paranormal romance I read from this author and I liked it a lot. The romantic suspense angle, added with a little paranormal (being Sam and Tyler having psychic abilities) just did it for me.

I really enjoyed THEIR ONE AND ONLY. It is the first book that I’ve read that is mainly focused on sexuality, but still has a great storyline and is the length of normal book.

This is one of those books where you know going in what you’re going to get. If you’re not into m/f/m then this is certainly not your book, but I immensely enjoyed reading this aspect of a relationship and the fact that there was a storyline.

Ok, so I admit it, I liked this book. DON'T YOU JUDGE ME! I wasn't a fan of some of the language, it definitely made me appreciate the more subtle romance novels. The story line was pretty good, but the sex definitely made the book better. I liked the characters, thank you so much T.A.M. for having a model as a character that wasn't a vapid twit, overall I liked Kaycee's character. I did find it hard to believe that Kaycee would recover so fast from her kidnapping and finding out just how interested Tyler and Sam were in her and to their physic gift. If you just go with those parts of the story, it is very enjoyable and has some great sex scenes.

This latest case however, becomes extremely personal as the twins experience something with Kaycee they’ve never felt before and once they meet her, that feeling only intensifies. Protecting her is no longer just part of the job and the more they get to know the woman behind the beauty, the more they can’t resist. While Tyler is prepared to take the leap of faith with Kaycee, Sam has his reservations, but quickly finds that keeping his distance from her was never an option. With the spell cast over the threesome and an exploration of what could be begins, the stalker makes his move that could permanently put an end to their chance at happiness.

From the beginning, the story quickly develops a suspenseful tone with quadruple points of view ranging from Kaycee, to the twins, and bits from the killer. There was just a small confusion for me in differentiating between the twins’ view points, but otherwise it read in this way quite well. For the most part, I liked both Tyler and Sam as the heroes of the story, but I have to admit to liking Sam just a bit more because of his hesitation in pursuing a relationship with Kaycee for fear of being hurt again. Kaycee too hesitates for her own reasons, but I found that all three of the main characters weren’t as developed as they could have been. I wanted to know more about Kaycee behind the pretty face and more about the twins behind the FBI and ranching jobs. The story is much more focused on developing the relationship, which would be fine until the killer makes an appearance and then the pacing quickly becomes rushed.

Overall this is a good read with some very racy scenes, but beware there is a slight horror factor where the killer is concerned and a not too heavily detailed rape. By no means is this a light read, but those that want a little more substance to their erotic romance, will find this one satisfactory. My first read by this author, but not my last.(less)

Review:
I picked this book to read because it was a Menage HEA, and as we all know, I LOVE Menage HEA stories. This one definitely satisfied that requirement.

The story is rather short and to the point, but I didn't mind all that much. I liked the characters of the story. Tyler is the more happy-go-lucky twin, Sam is more the brooder, and Lexie is a model who doesn't fit the stereotype. They were all rather likable. The book falls into that category where the heroes meet the heroine and are pretty much instantly in love - that whole instant connection thing. That doesn't always work for me, but it did here. There's good chemistry between these three. I liked the differences between the brothers as well. They're twins but personality wise you could easily tell them apart. And there's nice romantic conflict over the whole Menage thing...whether Kaycee would stay, whether she could love both and all that. It was a romance that worked for me all around. And yeah, there's hot sex too ;)

I did wish there was maybe some more character development. There was enough to make the story work, but at times I wished I knew more about their pasts, who they were, etc. It didn't need to be a lot, but just some more to fill in the wholes.

Suspense-wise, it was a decent plot. Fairly typical, though. The whole stalker/serial killer thing is fairly common and there wasn't anything to make it unique in this story. But since it added meat to what could have been a repetitive, one dimensional sex story, I liked it. It wasn't perfect. There were some holes in the story and some lack of development, but nothing that ruined the story. It was mostly just that you could notice that the author was perhaps not used to writing a solid suspense because some things were off. But still, it was a good addition to the story.

All around enjoyable for me. I'm glad I decided to read it. It was a quick, sexy read.

WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, oral sex, anal sex, m/f/m hetero Menage HEA (involving twin brothers), a little dominance, some toys, but nothing too over the top.(less)

The suspense plot and chemistry between the characters was great, but the ?? peppered throughout made it difficult for me to follow. The question marks were sprinkled throughout the text as if the author meant to do some editing at those parts or meant to insert other punctuation but wasn't sure which one's to use. Case in point: "Security was more her thing?? financial security for her future." Since I looked at some other reviews, I'm just wondering if it's the copy that I got for my Nook.

meh!
it started really good but when I hit the first half... it went downhill fast.
waaay too many sex scenes, I mean, I was expecting them but not for half the book to be about sex.
The bad guy didn't make much sense to me, an modeling agent who is also an expert in security systems and spying stuff?.. really?
Both of the guys were ok but I did not like the fact that they abandoned Kaycee when she needed them the most, when she got hurt they left her because they wanted to "give her space".

Though this book was still too short for my liking, I still really enjoyed the book. There is something about cowboys as in a menage and twins to boot that really make this story hot. There is an emotional element that seems to be missing from a lot of the books I have been reading lately that made me really want the story to continue longer. The thinner element is pretty scary in the beginning but falls flat by the middle of the book which is disappointing. Overall, I still liked it.

Good read with lots of suspense - a serial killer stalking the heroine, twin hunky heroes who do FBI profiling and can psychically connect with kidnapped victims... The heroes are looking for their 'one', the one who can love them equally. The heroine is looking to survive. The villain is looking to make Kaycee 'his', in the most permanent way - all the lookalikes he already killed just aren't good enough. Lots of good stuff here.

Nice erotic story with characters that were very likeable and a decent storyline as well, not rocket science so nice and easy to read. The sex scenes were smokin' hot (goddamn that girl could take some pounding). Boy, I'll take what she got in the form of Sam & Tyler, what a delicious pair. Never thought much about cowboys (living in Australia I guess) but if someone called me darlin' with that Texan drawl I think I would melt. Well worth a read.

I have to go down the middle for this book. While the twins are totally hot, totally protective, and totally attached at the mind [even knowing when the other is having sex]...there were also some parts that were pretty cheesy. But the sections that were good...were really good. So if you can handle a few eye rolls and a couple whatevers during some scenes...then you'd enjoy this book! Trista really does write well. ☺

This book started out okay, but I started losing interest halfway through. The sex scenes were pretty hot at first, but they got old quickly. The writing style is very similar to a Lora Leigh novel, IMO, and I think that took some of the reading pleasure away. I like Lora Leigh, but I have to be in a certain mood to read her stuff.
