This dreck starts off with sexy Italian billionaire Lazzaro Ranaldi hitting on his newest employee, Caitlyn Bell. It looks like she's destined to be his latest flavor of the month but then a horrific confrontation with his twin brother twists Lazzaro from the charming man he once was, into a cold need-no-one male who ignores Caitlyn and her youthful charms. Two years pass by and after an encounter with Lazzaro's slimey brother in law, Caitlyn is once again brought to his attention. He remembers ...more

Lazzaro and Caitlyn meet and a basis for some sort of relationship between the two of them, is laid down. However, other things come up and his attention is drawn from the young girl and they don’t cross paths again for two years. Caitlyn is brought to his attention once again by his nasty BIL, Malvolio. Lazzaro suspects the reasons behind Caitlyn’s behavior towards his BIL, but Caitlyn doesn’t vocalize them to him. She has fibbed a bit about some things and of course, Malvolio informs Lazzaro t ...more

This one is kind of ridiculous.

Lazarro is one of the jerkiest hero I have ever met. He judged and hurt the heroine just because she's the cousin of a girl who once hurt him and his brother. I mean, seriously? *SMH*

But then again, it's completely predictable. I was expecting heavy drama though..

Whenever I read something new, I always try to appreciate the author's effort and try to understand how his/her mind works. I don't just shove the book and put it down but if I can't stand it anymore I'll stop. There are very few Harlequin romances I appreciate and this one didn't make the list.

So it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good enough to recommend or read again. There's the usual "common" girl who catches the eye of the "somebody" guy, and I'm not sure if I got a no-good cop

Well, if you happened to look and my read list, you'll see that once in a while I read a romantic romance book.

while it may not be for the great writing style, the plot, the characters or the seeds of wisdom it is a refreshing peace to the mind on a rough week.

I'd say the sypnosis isn't quite accurate- you see, his big revenge is sleeping with her while trying not to fall for her. the ring comes only in the end (after the drama is over).

there was some drama and each of the MCs had some things

*sigh* What is it with heroes who will always believe the bad guys before actually trusting their cut and believe the heroine? I liked this book despite that part. The heroine was really great, although I don't exactly agree with the last chapter. Them getting down and dirty AGAIN before he even said he loved her. That she would in fact become the TSTL heroine in this made me want to hurt someone. Again, also, I wish the hero was made to grovel a wee bit more. I understand that he was in pain an ...more

The best thing about this one is the measure of control and will executed to hate someone on purpose whereas this also happens to be one pair that fell in love at the first sight. The passage of time did nothing to diminish the feelings they had for each other irrespective of the fact that it took time to shine more brightly but its always there!

Lazzaro Ranaldi is awesome and Caitlyn Bell is equally at par.

I liked this one. Convoluted though it is and the guy sometimes a jerk there are reasons. There is a method to madness in this book unlike some romances that I have read off late. There's an actual story going on even if on the predictable lines.

Engaging story that I stayed up late to finish but his 'ruthless revenge' was getting frustrating and I didn't feel sufficient atonement making my rating 3.5*. Rich hotel owner Lazzaro seeks revenge on his employee Caitlyn.

liked the story except, Lazaro was sometimes too much of a jerk, but at the same time Caitlyn should have been really upfront with him
