You think you've got troubles? Well, check out this saga by a learned, articulate, and extraordinarily funny gentleman who negotiates 3 cancers and numerous more or less helpful health care professionals, and then lives on to entertain and inform the rest of us. Not only a how-to manual on surviving illness with style and grace, but more importantly a be-your-own-best-advocate instruction book for everyone who will someday experience a life-threatening illness.
