Louis Auchincloss vs. George Saunders
I read CivilWarLand in Bad Decline back in February, in the first week of Wisconsin's budget battle. It was not a fun read. Oh, the stories were good, but it was difficult (and depressing) to read about Saunders's visions of a crazy dystopian future America when our own governor was firing the first shot of the ongoing Republican War On Unions.

The Friend of Women, is a biting tale of three school girl friends who happened to be born before their time.
