I like all these books because, even though I am not at the hot flash age, I think they are pretty honest. I see that I have lots to look forward to. What I find interesting is how much these women caretake and how it is important to do what you enjoy. I always think, when I am older I will have time for myself. What I am beginning to understand is, I better make time now so I can get into the habit!
This book had more action with the original Hot Flash Club members, so I liked it better than the 2nd and 3rd books. Rather predictable, but a relaxing read. It made me want to check out Nantucket and spend a wekk or so there. Again, I had trouble with the cover -- young models representing women in their 50s and 60s.
I didn't think this one was as good as the first one I listened to, but the narrator is quite good! Definitely another funny one - great for the car! I listened to the CD but there wasn't an option on here for CD...
I read the first one and loved it. This one was good, but for me it there was less happening and it took forever to get to a point, but I still really enjoyed it. I will be reading the next one as well :)
basically a scooby doo episode. And disgusting middle age body functions. I probably should have read the original Hot Flash. Been amused and stopped there. Won't pursue this series.
I like any book set on Nantucket and that is why I read this. I love the mentions of the places with which I am familiar there. Good female bonding book in a new location.
I enjoyed this book as much as all the other Hot Flash Club books. It was not hard to remember all the characters. It was like getting together with old friends. I hope Nancy keeps writting about these amazing ladies.
These are not the best well-written books, but fun nonetheless. This one takes the ladies to Nantucket for adventures. A quick summer read and fun for those women approaching 50+!
I've enjoyed this series from the start being of similar age and also having enjoyed some of Thayer's other books. Hope there will be more Hot Flash adventures.
Fun read about a group of over 60 friends. If you liked the Golden Girls television show you'll like this. It was fun to listen to on audiobook and it was one of those impulse (I saw it on the library shelves) check outs that I don't regret.
Ok, I know this seems ridiculous; but I picked the first one up in a bookstore one time, and I really enjoy the friendships these ladies have! cute read
Opening the book to a middle aged sex narration. Come on are we that pathetic? I moved on... Write something. Very shallow in my opinion.
Enjoyed reading this over the weekend. I had a little trouble keeping the characters straight and maybe that is because this is the last of a series and my first one to read. I enjoyed reading about the lives of women in this age group and intend to read the rest of the series. The missing antiques? I had who did it figured out right away, but not how it was being done. Some parts I skimmed through rather quickly so maybe I missed the character, Gideon. He showed up at the end and I kept th...more
Fluff for old ladies. I guess I am one, but didn't like the book.
good read; addresses many mature woman issues. very similar to Saving Grace and Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons. I had trouble keeping the characters straight. Perhaps if I had started with the first book in the series I could have done better remembering who was who.
Group of mature women who have become best friends. Their time spent on Nantucket. Their issues regarding being with and without men and they solve a little mystery.

I'm ready for the next adventure of the "hot flash girls"!!!
Cute book for us menopausal maniacs. Empowering and fun.
I was quite entertained by this book.
It is an easy read; would not read the set
great vacation read!
You know I loved it!
It was Ok.
Entertaining, but it seemed liked it dragged on a bit.
I loved that part of it was set on Nantucket. I SO want to go visit.

Another fun sequel.
enjoyable
This was my second Hot Flash book. (I am listening to them out of order!) This was a fun one because all the women share a house in Nantucket for summer getaways. In this one, it is the members themselves who are each coping with problems on their home fronts. Also, to keep it interesting, there is a mystery of ongoing missing antiques within the house that they are vacationing in. I liked how that mystery was resolved. The examination of feelings and aging pulled me in again.
The 2nd book in this series is just as good as the first one.
It is more of what the 4 friends go through with loosing ones they love, moving on with their lives, helping each other as only friends can, and growing with each other.
This book brings in a younger group that dont fit together in their lives but somehow become good friends. They are from different stages in their lives, different stages in income and different stages in what they need.

good continuation of these 5 characters.
Great series!
I have enjoyed the Hot Flash books, this one not quite as much. I sometimes lose patience with these women, whose lives seem easier and more comfortable, with few of the challenges many aging women face. But overall they are likable, have loyalty to one another, and support each other. I am sure I will continue to read this series if more books are written.
