Rosemond will give it to you straight old-school style. This book consists of snippets from all his previous books, so don't expect much of a theme organization-wise. Kind of wished it had an index or something. I don't have a particular parental philosophy and I haven't thought too hard about child-rearing techniques but what he says makes common sense to me.

Great read. Love that it is a daily reflection book so I plan on leaving it on the nightstand for a quick refresher each night. This is not rocket science. Just good ol'school, common sense, no nonsense kind of parenting.

I also loved the fact that when I was discussing a parenting topic with my pediatrician, he actually wrote “Books by John Rosemond” on his prescription note pad and passed it to me. This was before he knew I had this book.
