Shayna Steinblatt, a thirty-year-old 'nice Jewish girl', is outraged when her beloved Bubbe is committed to a nursing home. While she struggles to help her grandmother accept the situation, Shayna tries to make peace with her mother, who is less than encouraging about Shayna's new and enthralling relationship with a romantic Puerto Rican woman named Luz.

Jessica
This book is about a Jewish lesbian, her love life, and her grandmother. Not all together, of course. It is really a bittersweet book about the main character coming to terms with the loss of her grandmother, and their interactions before her death. A must read for anyone who has ever tried to come out to their grandma.
