First of all, the idea to travel for 3 months across Iran without learning Farsi before departure is without any doubt absolutely retarded. Secondly, mrs. Rasmussen doesn't seem to have any basic knowledge about the country she chose to visit (Karbala where Hussein was murdered is in IRAQ not in Saudi Arabia, Shias have to pray 5 times a day, just like sunnis, not 3 times etc.) Aside from these major flaws, she has the obnoxious tendency to suspect every iranian man of being a potential rapist....more

Rasmussen's style is childish and inconsequent. Then, lamenting herself for not being able to speak the language and not getting in contact with anyone, she seemingly forgets she made very much that decision to not learn the language before going.
As a whole, the book is only mildly entertaining and I am surprised how such a mediocre writer can manage to get a book published and sell multiple articles to newspapers and do 'dia-shows' of her trip.
