Misspelled: Correct Title is "The Iron Chest."

If you are reading this play to see a theatrical adaptation of Godwin's Caleb Williams, desist. This play is only nominally borrows from Godwin's characters and plot. The radical political elements against tyranny and prisons have been effaced and four romantic subplots have been added. The resulting work isn't bad so much as it is aggressively mediocre. Do not recommend unless you have an interest in adaptation, the history of British theatre, etc.
