Probably the seminal book for the history of Australian Olympic endeavours both from a sporting and administrative point of view, Gordon's work is in crying need of a new edition to update it into a single volume up to 2012. There is plenty of material for the legends of Australian Olympic history such as Flack, Durack, Charlton, Jackson, Fraser, Strickland, Cuthbert, Rose, Gould and Perkins among others.
