This is another excellent book by Mary Clarke and Clement Crisp. Just like "Ballerina - The Art of Women in Classical Ballet" this book was also written to accompany a BBC television series on the male dancer.

It is well divided and touches every aspect about the male dancer. First the dancer in history, then the dancer as athlete, the dancer as partner, the dancer's relationship with the choreographer and last, but not least, making ballet a manly art.
