I find it the first time I read the synopsis and the synopsis was very intrigued me to continue to hold tepikir can not forget until I go to bed I was immediately reminded of the decision mebuat "I have read the book I am dying of curiosity rather than making" the next day and I bought and read and thennnn.....

I read a lot of paranormal romance - vampires, witches, and so forth. But aliens from another planet never appealed to me. I picked this book up at a library book sale because the cover caught my eye. From the description on the back, it sounded interesting, despite the alien part, and since it is a Harlequin romance, I figured it wouldn't be all science-fictiony.

Good concept, terrible book.
I picked up this book on a whim, deffinitly thought it was going to be very different than it was. I really was not interested in reading a sex scene that lasted an entire chapter. All the characters in this were really predictable and obnoxious too, at least if I have some lovable characters I can over look most of the stuff about a book that I don't particuarly enjoy. Oh and throw some aliens in there...what?! I was not expecting this story to suddenly go sci-fi mix...more

I rather enjoyed this book. It was sweet, heartbreaking and full of sexual tension. It's about this woman named Katie who renovates old homes and she buys this big, old Victorian home in Texas. In the garden is the statue of a nude warrior and she cannot keep her eyes off of him. One night she gives in and kisses the statue and he comes to life in her arms. Their personalities immediately clash he is used to the pliable women from his home planet and Katie is full of her own warrior spirit. But...more

This book lost its' fizzle, I was half way through the story and it didn't keep me interested. I liked Showalter's other story The Pleasure Slave, which is related to this one, the heros are half-brothers, so I expected to be entertained. This one just did not have that umph.
I enjoyed this first book by Gena Showalter, with its fresh theme of a warrior imprisioned in stone. As characteristic of her writing, it shows a sweet, goodhearted approach to paranormal romance. The sensuality is well-developed but doesn't overwhelm the romantic aspects of the book. It has many laugh out loud moments, while balancing the heart-tugging moments equally well. Jorlan comes off as being a male chauvinist pig at first, who turns out to be just what self-sufficient tomboy Kate needs....more

awalnya lumayan rame ceritanya tentang si Kkatie yang nyium patung di halaman rumah yg dia beli, kemudian patung tersebut berubah jadi sosok manusia. Of all the books i've read recently, this book sparkles the most. It's entertaining, sexy, beautifully written and enchantingly like a fairy tale.
I found i was really able to sympathise with Katie, she's not much older than me and also unlucky in love (so i found the ending to this hopeful for myself as well lol) so it was very easy to relate to her.
Jorlan on the other had i hated at first, i think i described him as a sexist pig within the first 50 pages or so, which is a record for me.

Okay, the premise for this is kind of out there, a woman who had had bad luck with men gets a house that she intends to renovate and, lo and behold, there is a statue in the yard that's she attracted to. Turns out, the statue is really a man from another universe who has been sent here as punishment. And he has enemies looking for him. A nice, relaxing book. A rather silly subject, but once you get yourself over the issue of daydreaming about a stone prince, you'll enjoy it. A book were you don't need to use a lot of braincells to follow what's going on - which was perfect for me while I was feeding my new born baby at night. What?! I have the right to indulge myself in one of my guilty pleasures while being awake a 2:13 in the morning to change a diaper and feed my baby :) Another guilty pleasure is making and eating chocolat...more
I've enjoyed other stories by this author but this was definitely not one of them. I researched and found out that this was her first published story. Reviewed by others, I can only tell you why I didn't care for THE STONE PRINCE: Katie and Jorlan were shallow and confusing. The story made very little sense though I thought the idea was a novel one.

First I have to say the writing isn't all the great. I can't tell you exactly what it is, but it's only decent at best. That being said, I found the book very entertaining. It might just be my wierd sense of humor, but it kept me entertained throughout. If you aren't looking for some heavy reading with intnse plot line and just looking into this book for romance, this is for you. If your just loking for a chapter or two with hot steaming sex, well this book is also for you. Either way worth a lo...more

Una historia entretenida para pasar un buen rato, pero le he calificado con tres estrellas, porque siento que hizo faltó algo más en la relación entre ellos, ese choque constante que había entre los protagonistas, a veces me parecía chocante, él por ser un guerrero machista (que por cierto entendía por ser él de otro planeta y su cultura era diferente) y ella por ser una mujer que se negaba a perder su independencia. This was a fun read with great characters. The chemistry between hero & heroine was great, and I loved the way hero interacts w/heroine's all-alpha-male family. The only thing I found disappointing was how quickly it wrapped up - felt rushed, and the "tying up loose ends" felt convenient and unfinished.
