Painting
I have passed through the country of the Mohawks for twenty years and when I drove close by the shrine dedicated to Tekakwitha I realized that I knew nothing about her and very little about the Mohawk people. This is a sad tale of how she may have lived and contains some historical content from the 1600's about Native American relations with Europeans in New York. Good fodder for my imagination regarding what this world may have been like before Europe moved in.
