This book is perfect for liberal Catholics or former Catholics, in exploring the way the Church and Catholic society deal with sexuality. As a former Catholic, I laughed many times while reading this book. However, while the book is definitely not anti-Catholic (it's more liberal/modern Catholic); if you are a conservative/strict Catholic, you will probably be offended. Recommends it for: catholic girls
I enjoyed this book very much. I can't remember the details. All I can remember is that I was reading it in a Catholic hospital waiting room in Birmingham. As I was leaving the building, somehow I ended up walking behind the Bishop, and did my best to hide the book b/c he started talking to me. I was so embarassed. So, don't read this in a Catholic hospital, church, or other Catholic setting b/c some of the info in this book kind of goes around some hard and fast Catholic dogma, if you know what ...more
I checked this book out, thinking it was strictly a humor book. But then I realized it did have a message. I can't say I learned a lot, but I was surprised by its fairly liberal attitude. And there are numerous funny sections that also kept it interesting.
Thankfully, I didn't learn anything. I just wanted to see why this book I found in my daughter's closet had all the pages falling out!
