Romanul e foarte bine scr

Not as perfect as Wasted Morning, but a very powerful novel nonetheless.

I had a hard time with this novel. It simply uses excessively stream of consciousness, a literary device which I cannot stand. It was saved from 1-star rating just by the fact that it is obvious she is a talented writer.

In the back of my mind I always compared it with "Cel mai iubit dintre pamanteni", a novel on a similar subject of intellectuals oppression during 50s in communist Romania. But Marin Preda is on a totally different league.

The teen and college years of Letitia Branea, the heroine of the awesome Provizorat and the debut novel of the author. Written and published in the 1970's during the communist era, the book is still very readable adn quite poignant, both by what it says and by what it just implies

After a very slow and boring ( and slightly depressing) beginning, I took some interest in this book. I can't really say I liked it. But I have learned something new.
