The contents of this book are split evenly between an introduction to "Buckskinning culture" and practical "how-to-make-stuff-like-a-mountainman" projects. I purchased it for the latter, and plan to make some moccasins in the near future.

A great, well researched, series of books that are a huge help to anyone interested in reenacting Colonial to mid 19th century US History. I look forward to having them all in my collection some day.
