An absolute must have in the library of any serious Bible scholar or aspiring Christian author. A weighty tome (over 1000 pages if you include the index), it explores in detail the "images, symbols, motifs, metaphors, figures of speech and literary patterns of the Bible." Excellent book. Great for kindling the fires of the imagination!
