This is the 7th book in the McKaslin Clan series. I wish I had read some of the previous books because it would have been nice to have the full backstory, but if you are like me and just picked this one up, don't worry, you'll get to know the other family members in the series soon enough.

I really enjoyed this book. I feel there needs to be a sequal though (I don't think one is planned). The premise of the story is that a young child of 2 was taken by her mother. The mother abandoned the rest of her children and husband. She told Lauren as she was growing up that none of the family wanted her. When Lauren is in her 20s and putting herself through school her grandmother hires a PI to find her and invites Lauren to come home and meet the family. Her sisters bond with her right awa

The Good: Quick reading, a light gentle romance.
The Surprise: I knew how it would end (don't all romances end this way?), but what surprised me was that it was a tear jerker for me -- maybe because it's the Christmas holidays and I'm feeling very much the loss of my own parents.
The Bad: Too predicatable: characters had predicatable rollercoaster ups and downs, two pages up, one page down. I kept waiting for the gotcha on the "report"; which predicatably cam More...

I know - most of you are thinking "What in the heck is Liz donig reading this stuff! It's not her type of book!" Well, it isn't but it was so bad that it was good. I mean really badly written (redundancy, cliches, not realistic, etc.). When I was on splits with the sister missionaries, an investigator gave them this book to read and I took it because they really don't read much other than BOM on their missions so I read it. I finished it in two hours one evening and felt like I had w

My mom received this book quite a while ago as a complimentary gift in the mail. It has kicked around for a long time. I finally picked it up & noticed the author, who is an author I like.
It was a nice, light read. I didn't even realize it is part of a series until I added it here. It would be nice to read the others, but I don't think I'll go on an all out search for them.

I admit it, I'm a romance junkie. I like them everywhere from sweet and innocent to hot and spicy. This one was sweet and spicy. It was an excellent read from cover to cover with believable characters and events. I loved the strong family ties and moral values. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet, believable story. I will definately read more from Jillian Hart.

I enjoyed reading a romance book that is considered inspirational. As I was reading the story I was rooting for Lauren and Caleb to realize that they both really loved each other. When Lauren comes home after being taken away by her mother, hoping to find the family she never knew she had sets the stage for a sweet and tender romance.

This was a squeaky clean romance. There were definitely intense feelings, and a pretty good story to go along with it, but I really wanted more. The ending came to soon. I would have liked to have seen a little happily ever after here. I may look into the others in this series.

Cute, fairly simplistic romance, with a very complicated and dark past for our main character. The synopsis is wrong, though, since our hero is more than ready to believe our heroine. There are very light touches of christianity but they aren't preachy or overdone.

SOOOOOOOOOO CHEESY! My husband and I would open it to a random page, close our eyes and point to a sentence, then we'd read it aloud. It never failed to make us laugh out loud with how RIDICULOUS and over the top the schmultzy romance was. Ick. Ick. Double ick.

You know, Christian fiction is sometimes refreshing as far as the clean language and lack of sex scenes go, but sugar sweet, unrealistic endings make me want to vomit!!

This was the first book I read in the McKaslin series. I liked it so much I started reading the other books in the series. Always entertaining and relaxing to read.

I received this book free in the mail a couple of years ago. It was a sweet easy read, but very predictable.

This has been sitting on my shelf for years. It was okay. Kind of slow but sweet in its own way.

A cute love story that I enjoyed for the short time it took me to read it.

Okay - I'm beginning to think that maybe I'm not meant to be a Christian romance fan. I won't say I didn't enjoy this book. I REALLY did. The characters really grabbed me, and I was very interested in their lives. Yet, the story seemed too "sweet." I know romance novel endings are supposed to be happy, but, again, the bow was a little too neat for me - to the point of unrealistic. Yet, I really, REALLY enjoyed reading it. Does this even make sense?? Perhaps I need to read another genre
