Global Hollywood 2 is a book that outlines the film industry in great detail. As you could guess by the title, much of this book is dedicated to explaining the way that Hollywood works in the global arena. Reveals crazy marketing ploys by trans-national corporations to sell movies to different countries. Excellently researched, but Toby Miller (and company) take such a strident tone that it borders on self-parody. I want to agree with everything they're saying, but the grown-up side of me can't abide.
