I'm generally pretty forgiving when it comes to true crime, but this book was somewhat disappointing. The case was interesting enough, but McMurray's heart really didn't seem to be in the writing itself, which came across as dry and in places, very clipped.
I rememberd the Amber Alert/manhunt making headlines in 2005 when this murder happened. The book was an good synopsis of what happened, but not a very in-depth acount of the case.
Not great. Not very in-depth. I'm thinking the book was either rushed out and/or subjects were not cooperative. True crime fast food.
