Red Hot Lies by Christopher Horner

Is there true science behind much of global warming hysteria? How is the media covering the story? Why are a lot of the actions taken by the hysteria crowd similar to those used by the communists and their proxies during the cold war?
These are the questions that Horner answers in his new book, Red Hot Lies. Using meticulous research and footnotes, Horner proves his thesis that there is a fraudulent and mendacious scheme being launched against...more

Christopher C. Horner gives evidence that the whole Global Warming "Crisis" is a political ploy. He documents how scientist who do not fawn over the politically correct line are shut out. This includes their being disinvited from summits, conferences, etc., because this isn't about the environment it is about government.

Oh, and money! While environmental enthusiasts point out any contribution global warming skeptics receive from any energy producer they neglect to poin...more

I diligently tried to read this book but after 50 pages I just skipped and did a speed read of parts to get a basic understanding of what he was saying. Very poorly written and put together. This may very well be an important topic and reveal serious problems with society today and in recent years. Can give us insight into political and media scams. But if you are going to cry wolf it has to be in the valid understood language not jibberish.

This book is too long and not worth reading. It is mainly a collection of anecdotes illustrating how low the alarmists will go and how self-serving their intentions are. While I agree that alarmist journalism is disgusting and anti-scientific, I also get the feeling that the author is nearly as bad in his heart. Sadly, he seems to disapprove of environmentalism altogether.
