Musashi and Inshun's epic second battle concludes in an unexpected way.

Inoue is killing it with his linework. His storytelling here is definitely stronger than when he started with Slam Dunk and it's a joy to read.

The rematch ends in a stalemate again, more of Inshun's back story. Inshun and Musashi wake up bandaged after having nearly killed each other. Here we go again with Matahachi pretending he is a highly respected samurai, lying to his mother and acting like a shameless fool. Granny Hon'iden is STILL out for revenge nearly six years later. Matahachi is shocked to learn Otsu and Musashi are in love and ran away together (I'm not!).

its for adult because this book is much of blood and complicated character. this series is tell about Tokunaga-era Japan, a new government that has just taken power and the land. A young man sets out on a journey seeking spriritual enlightement by way of the soword, prepared to slay anyone who gets in his way.... but sometime with empty brain and brutality way >.<

He was doing great till that final blow!!!
but again he couldn't have changed that much in couple of weeks so still a great conclusion to the battle. it would have been too :( if we had lost Inshun, his flash backs were so disturbing and graphic.
Matahachi and his mother was fun :)
And I think the major rivalry start from here.
The Ascending Dragons - cool name! :)

Takehiko Inoue (井上雄彦) is a Japanese manga artist, best known for the basketball manga Slam Dunk, which has become a success both in Japan and overseas. Many of his works are about basketball, Inoue himself being a huge fan of the sport, and many Japanese children started to play basketball because they read the manga. This in turn helped make basketball popular in Japan and across East Asia.
