Read in January, 2006
Not dissimilar to Oliver Jeffer's picture book 'Lost and Found'. Both show selective use of text and simple, yet alarmingly effective illustration. 'Beegu' is about an alien stranded on Earth, who is desperately seeking companions in an unfamiliar environment. It is a great book to read to children who have experienced moving towns or schools, as the themes of acceptance and alienation are so effectively captured!

Beegu is a bit different and is not accepted by adults but puppies and kids are very fond of Beegu.
