Wow! The photos are incredible. To be perfectly fair, I think I mean that the birds are incredible and the photos just barely do them justice. The text is also interesting, but as in any single-species field guide, a little dry for recreational reading. I learned a lot, though. I paid special attention to the Anna's Hummingbird- that's the kind I have in my garden all the time.
Recommended, even if you just pick it up at the library and gape at the photos.
