Since the jewelry class i'll be Student Teaching in covers stone settings, I thought this would be a good book for the students. It not only shows different settings but also shows different materials one can use other then stones such as plastics, resins, wood, and concrete. It shows step by step processes as well as images to help make the instructions clear. There are also images of how the techniques have been used to help students get ideas.

Recommends it for: serious jewelry designers
If you are really into the craft of jewelry making, then I feel comfortable recommending this book as a reference style text. I gave it five stars because I do not think it is intended for the beginner; there's just too much information here for a newbie to handle without getting totally overwhelmed.
