My almost-five-year-old son picked this book out from the library this week. He really likes ABC books.

I was intrigued by letter A, liking it by letter B, in love by letter C, and adding it to my list of books to buy by letter D. It was that good.

I did spend some of my formative years in the UK, so, no doubt, that colored my impression of this book, but even without that experience, there is some really amazing artwork in this book. The alphabet itself would introduce young American reader to

An ABC book but with interesting subject matter and cool art. Where else can you find Y is for Yorkshire Pudding and L is for Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch?

This ABC book is as fun for adults to read as children. It's witty and wildly inventive. Great introduction to the differences between British and American English and culture.
I really liked this alternative ABC linked to the UK's culture. It has further information at the back for those requiring more information.
