A hit and miss collection of various stuff written about the middle ages. My favorite parts were the chapters about Henry V, the Muslim traveler's account, Genghis Khan, the fall of Constantinople, Charlemagne, and the one about the Chinese Treasure ships. Also, a pet peeve was the font of the text...it just is not my favorite. It is very similar to other books in this series and had some golden moments.
