The first of the states to begin documenting quilts and to put out a book, this comparatively thin book (as related to state books that follow) covers a nice variety of examples with quilt photos and the very welcome close-ups, maker histories and photos for some and interesting descriptions including measurements which I find very important in quilt study. This book, and any quilting book, makes me wish I had nothing to do but create magic through textiles. Alas, I am at the Library, just looking at the lovely, historical pictures of both creators and objects of historical art.
