In the late 40's/or early 50's Boris Vian had a radio show where he played jazz recordings. The great thing about this book is that it's bilingual English and French. I imagine that the radio show went out to the American military stationed in Europe at the time. So basically this is a collection of Vian's commentary on recordings and jazz in general. Very brief commentary, but again essential reading for the jazz fan.
