Drastically one sided criticism such as this is kind of passive towards art as a form of art in general. I very much consider myself a feminist, particularly when it comes to representation of women in cinema, but some theories in the book personally baffled me. Nevertheless, if not for nothing else, this is an interesting look at the take of guerrilla feminist criticism circa sixties and seventies, while the author's awareness of world cinema is very intelligent.
