Interesting, especially for a born and bred Midwesterner used to rolling vistas rather than the mountainous views enjoyed here, in The Berkshires. Frederick Law Olmstead, the father of landscape architecture, earns a couple of mentions as an influence. The final example, of minimalism, brings to mind Time, the ephemeral work in nature by Andy Goldsworthy, as documented in the film "Rivers and Tides."
