Opening the cover of Motherless Child - stories from a life is like arriving at Sarah's home, where she welcomes you with that special brand of southern hospitality, invites you to sit down for a spell and have a nice tall drink of ice tea while she tells you stories from her past. A beautifully written memoir of a young woman's choice to give her baby up for adoption and then her search to find her child, this is a story that is written in a matter-of-fact way, but with love and tenderness without self-pity or drama. It is refreshing, memorable and inspiring and will most definitely stay with me for a very long time.

It takes courage to open up your life to others and reveal things you may not be proud of. I was able to see the author's life through her eyes. She did a wonderful job bridging the past with the future. I could not put this book down. I wanted to know more. I found myself smiling, crying and rejoicing in this book. I was touched and moved by this wonderful book!!!
