The Dying Kingdom continues right where Temple of the Dragonslayer leaves off. But since this book is written by a different author, it has a slightly different feel. In my mind, this is great. In fact, I liked this book much better than the first in this series. The entire second half of the book is one cliffhanger after another as three different storylines are going on at the same time. I did not want to put this book down, even for a second!

This is a real page-turner and Stephen D. Sullivan

This book is missing something that the first book has. It was still a good book that was action packed from the very beggining. I didnt like the setting of Arngrim and the castle. I felt that the book was missing a major character that the first book had(Jax). Alric wasnt a good character and all the others were unimportant. Well paced and was still a good adventure like the first.

Marginally better than the first, though I still don't care about the main antagonist. He seems superfluous to the story.
