I enjoyed the material of this book. The imagery and the symbolism basically blew my mind. I found myself rereading many passages over and over again. I found myself liking and disliking the book at several different instances. I understand why this book is taught in french literature classes.

This is an interesting little book. For the most part, I needed to use a dictionary to understand a lot of the vocabulary meaning that my progress was slowed. I still enjoyed the story despite that.
