When a sixth grade boy wants to read this book for fun, I do too. Amelia's parents separate and she moves from NYC to her aunt's house in small town PA.
One of the favorite sections include "Amelia McBride and the Other Side of Yuletide" where Amelia makes Pajamaman's Christmas by sneaking in the Red Captain Ninja action figure that she receives under his tree.
Here's a section from page 69:

Jimmy Gownley may have moved on to bigger projects, but the Amelia Rules! series will always have a special spot in my heart. This is a "best of" collection regarding the early Amelia Rules! books, and is a fantastic place to start if you're wanting to read something new. I like it, its funny and understanding. Meaning some people could relate to it.
Its about a girl that just moved to a new place just recently and she's struggling to make some friends. She's just trying to fit in. I read this book in 3 hours.

Really fun graphic novel series. Amelia has a lot of spunk, and her adventures with her friends in their secret superhero club are much funnier than I expected! Not a must-must read, but a good diversion.
This is a digest size reprint of several Amelia stories that can be found in other books, but still fun for the re-read.
A collection of Amelia stories taken from previously published editions of the comic. Good for those days when you need a quick dose of humor.
