Unique book, somewhat similiar to Nick Bantock's style. The author's alter-ego discovers he exists in two worlds, ours and the Republic of Dreams. He becomes involved in varioius plots to prevent a group of logical, literal-minded bad guys from destroying the Republic. Includes a map and an ID card the reader can fill out, and become a citizen. Wouldn't mind living there myself, or at least having a vacation house! ;-)

A fun, silly book about an imaginary country where poets, dancers, dreamers and creators live in creative chaos. Our hero has to help save the Realm of Dreams from the League of Common Sense. Friendly hedonism and magical realism = good times.

Quick fun read. You have to let yourself go while reading, to sink into the imaginative world of dreams and poetry. I love the accompanying illustrations, maps, photos, telegrams, etc. The prose is very descriptive if you completely ignore logic, embrace the romanticism of a parallel universe and imagine your alter ego in bliss.
