I couldn't put this book down!

Part magic realism, part urban fantasy, with more than a passing nod to Lovecraft and his ilk, but not too much for the horror-squeamish. It's got a whole lot of what always draws me to Charles de Lint, and I think de Lint fans would enjoy it. In...more

He escaped the Schoolomance only to discover someone has set him up with a trust fund and a house so he can use his magical abilities to "do good" with the help of an angel and a demon. Oh, and a sexy female Dine shaman who's being stalked by the ghost of a evil brujeria.

There just wasn't much character development and I kept seeing bits and pieces that reminded me of...more
