The farm is just too messy for a picky pig who writes anonymous letters to the farmer. At first the farmer enjoys the constructive criticism-- but then things get out of control. Share with children who don't like messes and to encourage cleaning at school, home, or anywhere.

I don't think the story itself held Dylan's attention as well as other books, but he really enjoyed the illustrations, which were fun and colorful.

Dylan says:

The story is about a pig who didn't like the farm because there was too many stuff that she didn't like. Then she moved to the city. And then she moved back because the city was too smoky.

I liked how Farmer Joe made the farm like a big giant chocolate cake by rolling the dirt.

This book is funny to read because it is written in a perspective of an animal who is living in the farm. The main character complains abour the farm in a letter to the owner. It is funny to see and understand from the animal's point of view. It will be a good discussion to talk about different points of view and that literacy can also be in a letter form.

Enjoyed this book about a picky pig who thinks the farm is too dirty for her liking and expresses as much in letters to the farmer. Read it at Viv's school and couldn't gage their reaction...they listened but didn't laugh at the humorous parts. Will try again at May OR.

In the tradition of click clack moo this is a sweet little story about a disgruntled pig writing letters to the farmer to clean the place up. Things get better, but when Louisa decides to leave for greener pastures she learns that there is no place like home.

This is the story of a pig who just wants a clean farm to live on and a farmer who keeps trying. Nothing is clean enough for Louisa. This was sooooo cute and darling illustrations. I can't wait to share with patrons for just a fun family read. Ages 4+

I loved the cute and comic illustrations and the story line was funny and written in unique form. If I had a critique it would be that it would add an educational bit to it if the letters in it were written in correct form. Just saying.

Kids might enjoy the repetition and silliness in this farm story/clean-up book, but I think it's too close to Click Clack Moo and doesn't do the job nearly as well. I normally like Simon Puttock, but this one isn't my cup of tea.

Didn't love it, but it was good enough to use when we do our letter writing unit.
Kim
Pretty sweet story about a disgruntled pig instructing the farmer to pick up the farm.
Rachel
Great fun. Little side actions and words in the pictures are delightful.

Reminds me of Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type.

Now you know me I don't usually add picture books cause I see so many of them everyday but this one is so adorable I had to. Louisa is a pig who is not happy with the condition of her farm so she writes to farmer Joe asking him to clean up the farm. Every time farmer Joe gets one of her letters he does her best to clean up whatever she asked him to but it never seems good enough for Louisa.

This is a great picture book that includes rhymes and patterns for children. As well as cute and funny ill...more
