Picked up the book from the railway station for a train journey. I have not yet read the book "The monk who sold his Ferrari", but knew about the popularity of the book, so decided to give this book a shot.
Though I was disinterested while I read first few chapters when the narrative story was being woven, but as the author started to talk about the real stuff, the 8 wisdom lessons, the book started getting interesting. Very inspiring when I had read the whole book, with some great quotes from al

Much worse than Monk...... Simply writing silly books ??

This is a sequel to author's fabulously successful, The Monk Who Sold His Safari.
The author has distilled the essence of Leadership Wisdom entwined in a fable in the preceding book.
Here the format is retained that of a fable-telling narrative, but the content is thick with truisms, and necessaary explanations,of Leadership Wisdom.
The author has presribed Eight Rituals, which when practiced, in spirit, would help transform the leadership behaviour to that of a visionary leader.
These rituals are:

The central conceit of the book, that of a selfish CEO of a failing company coming across a former colleague who is now a monk, and who gradually changes his outlook and makes him a better man and businessman, doesn't really work. The characters are little more than mouthpieces for the author's ideas; as fictional characters they are unsatisfying.

If you can get past that, however, on the level of a non-fiction, motivational book about good leadership, the book is actually pretty good, and offers

A good book to guide on how to become a visionary leader. It is not only for the leaders with title(CEO/managers/team lead..) but it is a useful for any person to any position to understand how each and every person contributes in their own way and become a part of a big goal / vision. Shows you the path on how you should lead your life.

If one needs to develop their leadership skills, then this book can go a long way in helping one do so.

Put in an eloquent and easy learning manner, Robin Sharma so easily traverses over the basic rituals required (with a perfect share of reasoning) to develop/hone your ability to lead.

Inspiring read. Truly.

Идеята за предаване на методология за лидерство чрез измислен разказ е добра, но историята е доста посредствена. На моменти разговорите между двамата герои са отчайващо глупави, особено репликите на директора на голямата компания. Като изключим това, има какво да се научи от книгата.

If anybody asks me, which is my ideal choice for a Class X Moral Science text book? I would say, Leadership Wisdom! A pleasant experience reading this one. Robin Sharma explains a few outdated or already known theories with respect to Leadership. In my humble opinion, Leadership in the Corporate world is far more demanding and skillful than he has made it out to be in the book. A good practical guide for students, in the early part of their childhood. From an adult's viewpoint, a good means to f ...more

It is a phenomenal sequel to The Monk who Sold his Ferrari. A company which at one point of time was of much acclaimed fame and the most coveted one, plunged into darkness for the reasons not known to its CEO, Peter Franklin. At this juncture, his long forgotten friend, Julian Mantle stepped into his life, to assist him in overcoming this phase of life. Julian, through his ways of wisdom made Franklin discover his shortfalls and rejuvenate his entire portfolio with his eight practical lessons.

Leadership Wisdom from the Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is very informational and insightful. This is more than a book on leadership. It's simple and thought provoking.
However, the story is too fictional that it is distracting.

I tried so hard matching the book with the title, didnt get any relationship! It has this wierd wisdomness i couldnt get, i like philosophy but in an understandable way. And yes i couldnt finish the book

I highly enjoyed this read. Lessons of leadership wisdom presented in a parable have made it an amazing read but have also helped to enforce my reflection back to personal life and reality. Highly recommend.

Nice story to teach the lessons of leadership, could have been delivered better. Has a glimpse of Steve jobs real life incidents.

you should read this when you have employees. This tells you how to be a good leader and what it takes.
Wonderful and a very inspiring book, everyone should read it and not only business man or woman.
I must confess this is not the kind of book I would usually choose to read, but my father recomended it to me and even when I was reluctant at first, right on the first page I start to enjoy it and to see all the wisdom it contain.
I wont say more, I would only repeat that everybody should do it, no mater what you do for a living, this book will change your mind or will remind you of things you alread

Very inspiring book for the Entrepreneurship world.
Absolutely loved the book. The message throughout the book is simple and to the point. The way it's presented seems so natural. You can relate to the story and introspect whether you're going down the same road. If you are, well then better think about it again. I particularly love Robin's way of presenting i.e. in the form of a story. Great book! Definitely need to have read "The Monk who sold his Ferarri" in order to get the utmost advantage out of this book.

If person who is at the top management level in any organisation really want to be most successful leader then, then he must read this book.
In now a days most people run after only money. While running behind it they miss the most desirable moments of the life. For such people also it will be beneficial. By reading the book they can learn how to live a life. Most famous quote from this book " Purpose of a life is a life of a purpose."

Šta da čitam
Nisam mogla da se nateram da je procitam do kraja. Ne prijaju mi njegove knjige jednostavno, kao da citam gomilu nabacanih statusa sa fejsbuka. I to osrednjih. Ne drzi paznju, pise o stvarima koje su drugi mnogo bolje docarali, o opstepoznatim stvarima... Ni kaludjer mi se nije svideo.. ne postoji uputstvo za dobar zivot, to morate sami da izvucete. A u tome vam mnogo vise mogu pomoci neke druge knjige.
Wow - This book does not disappoint. Such wisdom told in an easy-to-read story format - this time applied to a company in trouble on a step by step basis (hence the title 'Leadership Wisdom...'. Amazing quotes I want to pin up to remember. Certainly recommended to anyone interested in management and leadership.
