Oh boy! I loved this one. I don't know what to say. There sure happened a whole lot, and there was barely any time to breathe in between everything that was going wrong! It all seemed like a quite hopeless situation and I was constantly aching for the characters--I even had tears streaming down my face at one point.
I've always loved the Kattalakis brothers and the Peltiers. It was especially interesting to find ou...more

Dare I say that I enjoyed this book just as much as Acherons? I think YES!
I think Ms. Kenyon did a most amazing job of telling Fang and Aimee's story. It was great how we got to see their relationship develop and how all those little snippets of the two of them from previous book were all worked into this one.
I had no idea that they knew each other before Fang was bought into Sanctuary and that Aimee was the one who saved him. That was a complete left fie...more
Fang Kattalakis is one bad wolf. Having to protect his siblings from a vicious father and pack he's had to be. When he meets the only daughter to infamous Peltier Bear clan, he's instantly smitten and shocked at the same time. No one has touched him as much as Aimee Peltier and he finds himself helplessly drawn to her, even though he knows such an intermingling of species can never be.
Aimee can't believe the feelings the rough wolf wear-hunter arouses in her. She's always thought the wolves were...more

I have been waiting for " Bad Moon Rising " with anticipation for a while to finally read the story of Fang Kattalakis ( wolf ) and Aimee Peliteir ( Bear )with the expectation it would be a type of Romeo & Juliet story, and was so thilled, me and a few of my friends treked down to where she was signing the new release.
I have very mixed feelings about this book after reading it, in fact I was disappointed with the story as a whole. SK is a wonderful writer so she had me reading untill the very...more

This book was not as good as the others. I feel that she needed to have a better proof reader, to catch all the time lapses and other issues I felt wear in this book. She failed to mention Katrina as well as keep a accurate time table during the story. Fang and Aimee's story starts in '03 and doesn't concluede until '09, that is 5 years worth of story line including the very BIG issue of Katrina which the author completely skipped. Didn't even mention. Not counting Fury mating, "Hello" when did...more
Fang and Aimee are very much opposite, one a wolf, one a bear but they can’t help the instant attraction they feel for each other, forbidden love. Aimee is a strong, bold female lead which is what I like. She is also powerful, I laughed when she zapped Fang on the butt. Vane and Fang find themselves in danger when getting caught by Daimons, Aimee feeling Fang in harms way comes to the rescue with help, though the Daimons sucked too much of Fang’s soul and he finds himself between living and dead...more

I've really been looking forward to this book, as the were hunters tend to be my favorites in the Dark Hunter world and I loved the glimpses we'd had of Fang and Aimee in previous books. That being said, this wasn't quite as good as I was hoping.
A large part of the book covers story lines from previous books - primarily Vane's and Wren's. I didn't mind this as we were seeing the story from Fang and Aimee's perspectives. However, there was a considerable amount of moving forward in time and it a...more

This book is so hard to rate. Sometimes I felt like I was sure I would give this book 3 stars and then some things happened that make me wanna keep reading until my eyes burned.
What an ending. I loved the ending, eventhough I cried like a baby. I woun't say more.
I would've liked to read more about Fang and the bearswan. Their story felt kinda rushed up. It was like SK wanted to give us a lot of info about her new world, the hellchasers (I think that was the name she gave LOL) and a lot of new ch...more

Aimee and Fang's story - and the thickest one since "Acheron".
One of my favorite Dark-Hunter novels so far. The romance with this one stretched over a long period of time, therefore you were more invested in their happily ever after. It was also nice to see the rewind and earlier events in the series retold from Fang's point of view.
Makes me want to reread Vane's story, and maybe Wren's and Fury's. Was Fury's story a short? I've lost track.

I had a couple of problems with this one. The time line was a bit confusing at first (we are thrown way into the past to see how Amiee and Fang's relationship started) and we aren't given any indication that they'll be able to have children, and the heroine is given a ring with a big deal made of it that is never seen again. Kenyon introduces us to yet another group of hunters, but makes a valid point in the book saying that there are many demons, therefore there are many demon hunters. I do thi...more
She did again! This the 18th book I have read from Sherrilyn Kenyon and everytime I expect to be disappointed, because let's face it how can we love each book of a serie? But each time I get hooked and I can't stop reading and I keep falling in love with the characters and wishing there will be books about ALL of the secondary characters!
Since book number 6 about Vane and Bride I was dying to read the story of Fang and Aimee. And it was just perfect. I really love the fact that we went back to t...more

This was entirely a captivating book that I was one of the best books I've ever read. The characters, Fang and Vane especially, were wonderfully terrible. They were the best of the worst. Throughout the entire novel, I couldn't help but feel sorry that Zane could not have what he most wanted, a family of his own. As I followed the destructive path of the clan, I really loved how Fang had fallen in love. He was head over heals for an Arcadian bear that would do anything to be with him. Anything b...more
So, I've read the first book in the Dark-Hunter series Night Pleasures... and that was it. Not that I didn't like the book but that was all my library carried. So skip forward a month to me cruising books on amazon that are on sale. Which is where I find this gem. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to skip so many books in the storyline but this book reads as a stand alone just fine. At no point was a lost as to what was going on. Now granted I may have connected more with the secondary cha...more
I like werewolf/vampire/demon fantasy stuff so I was okay with this book, but I can see how others might not get past the hokey-ness. The dialogue was attempting to be cool and snarky but ended up being kinda cliche and dorky. Such lines : "Are they always like that? response "yeah pretty much"
I do like the way the supernatural universe is set up by the author. "werehunters" , "katagaria" versus "aracadian" and "dark hunters" and "daemons" and "demons."

I am a fan of Kenyon’s work but I feel like she’s fallen short lately. I have been anticipating Fang and Aimee’s story for a long time but it just wasn’t what I hoped.
Fang seemed like an interesting character in Night Play when Vane first brought him into Sanctuary but in this story, he just seemed to be going through the motions. The great build up of a love story seemed to fall flat rather than soar (or in a wolves cause run wild).

4 stars for this one. Unlike some, I didn't mind where the story had some of the other books in it. It told us what the characters were doing during those times, and told the other stories from a different point of view. I didn't realize Fang and Aimee went that far back. I can't say I'm upset about Mama Bear, she always seemed kinda nasty nice to me, but I liked Papa Bear, so I'll miss him. This is the 1st book where the "good guys" realize that the "bad guys" (maybe they're just misunderstood)...more
I really liked this book, perhaps evident by the fact that I devoured it in a single evening. It was nice to finally see Fang and Aimee and what happened with them, and the only thing I felt kinda let down by was that we've seen a lot of it already, it just has a bit of a different perspective here. I really liked the bears, though. They're very interesting, character-wise, especially Maman and Dev. I didn't like her attitude towards Wren, but knowing the reason behind it and having a little mor...more
This book is the most recent in Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series...or more specifically Were-Hunter Series. It is the long awaited, if I do say so myself, book about Fang and Amiee. There is one thing I can say for sure about this book is that it significantly progresses the series plot line; Kenyon is slowly starting to break away from her single book for single character mentality and starting to bleed together the books. I like it, it works and its enjoyable. I enjoyed the characters in this book....more

Genre: Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy
I wouldn’t argue that this is an incredibly well-written book – but it certainly grabbed me and kept me thoroughly entertained. It is a successful blend of the romance genre and urban fantasy – at least it is if you like both genres. It leans towards the romance side of that divide simply because the major plot is Fang and Aimee’s romance. Their romance is very sweet, but does fall into the “instant love-at-first-sight” variety. Usually that urks me, but Ke...more

Finally Fang & Aimee's story!!! In this Were-Hunter book, Kenyon takes us all the way back to the beginning of Fang's story so we can meet his pack & understand his relationship with Vane & even Fury before they found out they were brothers. It was Fang & Aimee's side of Night Play (Dark-Hunter, #6) which was really interesting because nothing was as it seemed. We met a few new characters & of course got to know the bears much better. I loved Aimee's dedication to her family,...more
Full disclosure, I loved Fang before this book ever came out. He seemed like the fun younger brother who was always good for a laugh, but you knew if it ever came down to it, he'd have your back. This book proved me right.
This book did go back and cover a lot of history, but I think it kind of had to since it had been so long and so many books came out between his brother Vane's book and this one. Vane and Fang are wolf were-hunters, and had been betrayed by their father, their sister had died,...more

Well the first word in the title certainly applies...
This is the first Sherrilyn Kenyon book that I've picked up. Until now, I had no idea that I was reading #19 in the series. Apparently, you need to read the other 18 to understand this, because the plot is utterly confusing without some level of context.
The story begins with a prologue which basically tells how the whole tale is going to go, and I spent the first 50 pages getting confused as to why these people hated each other. I spent the n...more

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's work. Her Dark Hunters series is by far my favorite of everything she's writen though. So, naturally, I had to get Bad Moon Rising!
This Kenyon book is 340 pages long, and let me tell you, it it wasn't long enough for me! When it ended I was like, "no! there has to be more!"
For Kenyon Minions, you will already know who Fury and Aimee are. For those of you not yet fans, let me fill you in:

Not as well crafted, plot wise. I think a couple of things contributed to this. The primary characters are Fang and Aimee, who have appeared in prior novels as supporting characters. This is common in Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series and generally serves her well. There was a lot of retelling bits of plot lines from Vane's story, Wren's story, and others and I think trying to tie everything back together and avoid inconsistencies got the better of the plot structure. The last part of the book, from t...more
I loved this book!!! I couldn't give it five stars only because I felt like her publisher called, told her she had only 50 pages to end the story, and she crammed in 50 pages worth of completely predictable storyline. I won't give away any spoilers, but you'll see it all coming. She did introduce a new character who has a very interesting back story. I can't wait to see where she takes this new addition. I know a lot of people complained about the repitition of most of Fang and Amy's story, but...more
