I loved this book!! I fell in love with Bowe in A Hunger Like No Other and since then I've wanted him to get his happy ending. I will admit that when we heard others speaking about his dead mate she didn't sound lije the best match for him.

Well this book did not disappoint! It was full of twists and turns, emotion, humor and more great characters!! It picks up where the last one left off and Bowe has to go rescue Mari from the cave he trapped her in so she can lift his curse or he More...

What can I say that hasn't been said? Loved it, almost as much as the previous book, "No Rest for the Wicked". If you enjoy sexual tension and sexual bantering in your books, this read will not disappoint! And when the H/H FINALLY get down to it--yowza!

Loved the hero, Bowen, although at first it was hard to read the Scottish accent, but I endured, and then the accent became downright sexy! And so far Mari is my favorite heroine of the IAD series. She was funny, brave, More...

Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night is the third book in the Immortals After Dark series. It features Bowen McReieve, a heartbroken Lykae who lost his mate over two centuries ago and is still feeling the guilt because he believes he caused her death. The heroine is a fiery, snarky little witch named Mariketa.

When the two of them compete in the Hie, Bowe tries desperately to win so that he can bring back his former paramour, Mariah back to life. In the process, he traps Mari and some ot More...

This entry in the Immortals After Dark series is a vast improvement on the uninspiring previous book, showing me I was right in my suspicion it’s the Valkyrie who drag this series down. These books read as fantasy with sex, rather than the kind of paranormal romance I tend to read. There is little or no human connection to the supernatural which is something that stops me from enjoying the books more - I feel that having some human connection with the fantasy world makes for a better reader conn More...

Book #4 in the Immortals After Dark Series and I loved it! Bowen (the werewolf that is mentioned in books #2 and #3 that lost his mate) finds his "true mate" in this one. A witch of all things. The sparks fly (literally) and this was a fun paranormal read.

The series should be read in order. In book #3 when they are at the tournament before it starts there is a witch there, covered up, and Bowen is attracted to her. Pay attention to this, it comes up later!

This is BY FAR my favorite IAD book YET!!

I mean first of all Bowen is so damn sexy that there were times I thought I might literally go crazy from his lustiness. Like I would maybe just hop in my car, grab the next flight to Scotland, and then immediately after landing grab the closest Scot I could get my hands on and.....Parental Advisory: The scenes inside Darkfallen's head contain graphic & adult content. Not suitable for all ages

*winks*

I really liked this book, and probably would have given it at least another half star (I know, you can't do that!) if it hadn't been so much: they're together - they're NOT together! The back and forth stuff got a little old, but was almost worth it when they finally had their HEA.

WARNING! May cause insomnia and heart problems. Proceed with caution!

Where’s the sixth circle for the vote when you need it?

I really don’t know how Kresley Cole can do this to me. Just when I thought this series can’t get better than No Rest for the Wicked, something extraordinary happened. Hmmm how should I put this? Oh yes! Imagine you’re walking down the street minding your own business when an alien dressed like Michael Jackson rushes by you and makes you fall to th More...

WOWZERS!! This book was sooo much better than "No Rest for the Wicked". I freaking LOVERED IT!!

It picks up at the END of NO REST but you don't have to READ that book to figure out what's going on.

This one is about Bowen MacRieve. If you've read Hunger LIke No Other then you will know that BOWEN is Lachlan's cousin. OH YUMMERS!! Bring in the werewolves!! Woowee!!

This one has limited vamps in it but we get fey and demons (OH ple More...

WICKED DEEDS = WICKED FUN!!!

The third book in the Immortals after Dark is pure jungle fever. Each story is about a powerful supernatural male and his equally powerful mate. Once again I would like to praise Kresley Cole on how her books begin, pure action to the face and enough steaminess to cause a fog out. Defogger anyone!!!

We meet Bowen MacReive a very depressing Lykae( werewolf). After two centuries living with the guilt he feels caused his mate to die, he is one angr More...

Okay, I'm officially hooked on this series. I heard from a lot of people that this book was a "weak link" so to speak, but I was hooked. Great characters, great twists and turns, great romance. (Oh, and great sex, of course...)
Kresley Cole is especially good at mixing up the settings she uses. They don't all take place at the same house, everyone always in the same city or whatever. Her books are adventures, and they take place all over the world. This one took place mostly in th More...

Book three in the series introduces us to Bowen MacRieve, the emotionally deranged cousin of Lachlain - King of the Lykae, and third in line for the throne. As well as Mariketa the Awaited, mercenary of the Wiccae, and future leader of the House of Witches. The book goes back to day three of the Talisman's Hie, the competition previously mentioned in 'No Rest for the Wicked'. While crawling through the Tomb of the Incubi in the jungles of Guatemala Bowen meets the seductive Mari, who awakens his More...

Introduced in the first book of the series and a big part of the second, Bowe is one bad Lykae (werewolf to you and me.) But he's lived a hard existence- the woman he was destined for died before he could mate her.

When the chance to turn back the clock arrives in the prize of a legendary game of the Lore (the magical creatures of our world), he's determined to right the wrong done to him.

But then he meets Mariketa- a formidable witch who draws him like none has since losi More...

Another great book by Kresley Cole. I LOVE the Lykae men in her books and this one centers around Bowen. The tragic loss of his mate has left him a shell of a werewolf. We first meet Bowen in A Hunger Like No Other. He was a hard drinking man, barely living, just existing. He seems almost week and too sensitive for a true Lykae warrior but endearing in a "I need to take care of this broken man" sort of way. In her next book, No Rest For The Wicked, We meet Bowen again when he ente More...

I'm really hooked with the Immortals after Dark Series and book 4 just attached me even more.. Let me tell you I love the Lykae men in Kresley Coles books I always love insanely jealous and possessive males and this one centers around Bowen who you find out in the previous books that he has lost his mate a century ago and it's also about Mariketa the Awaited a witch. You really should read these books in order since they all take place around the same time lenght and attached to one another in More...

Each one better and better. I decided I have a real thing for Scottish werewolves!! Kresley has a bit of a formula, but not so much that it bothers me! I really intend to get back these reviews but those are easier to do at certain times but right now, is a good time for reading.

Wicked Deeds on a Winters Night – Immortals After Dark #4

For each Lykae, there is only one mate. How then has Bowen ‘The Bitter’ MacReive, who lost his mate 180 years ago, suddenly found another in Mariketa the Awaited? It doesn’t sound like a very interesting plot, but it kept me reading. I’m finding myself actually liking this series more and more as it goes along. I am a little confused by the title, but that’s not really important I guess.

The book starts out going bac More...

Third in the Immortals After Dark paranormal-romance series. The couple focus here is on Bowen MacRieve, a werewolf, and Mariketa the Awaited, a witch. The action in this story starts in the middle of the Hie that began in No Rest for the Wicked.

My Take

It's a parallel plot line as Bowen is struggling to win the Hie, gain the key to turn back time, and rescue his beloved before she dies. Mariketa is trying to find herself. Her powers are wonky, unreliable. A p More...

Kresley Cole is such a good author for this genre, which make her books are must buy for me.

About the book it self. This is the 3rd book of Immortal After Dark series which paired a Lykae with a witch.

Bowen McRieve lost his mate 180 years ago and he hasn't stop looking for ways to resurrect her. He entered the Talisman Hie becau More...

This is the first book in the Immortals After Dark series that didn't completely satisfy me. I raced through Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night, pulled along with Kresley Cole's usual fast pacing, smooth writing, and snappy dialogue. I liked the two leads, Mariketa and Bowen, but I did not like how their romance played out on the page.

My heart really went out to Bowen during books 1 and 2 in the series, I was really ready for him to catch a break and find his happily ever after. But I w More...

I really enjoyed the main characters love hate relationship. Mariketa is a witch of great power, only she’s a bit of a klutzy witch and often ends up blowing stuff up by accident. So, why not join a deadly immortal race?

Bowen lost his mate in a tragic accident long ago and has been slowly withering as the years pass, until he hears about the Talisman's Hie; an immoral race where the prize is a key that can take you back through time to right a wrong. Well, what do you think Bowen wants More...

After reading No Rest for the Wicked, I've been waiting to get my hands on Bowe's story, especially after what he's been through. This story starts off by Bowe realizing that his fellows competitors in the Talisman's Hie are still not free after trapping them in a cave - one of them including Mariketa, a young and beautiful witch, who's extremely powerful but clumsy and untrained.

She and Bowe are attracted to each other but he is still not over Mariah's death that he feels responsib More...

I wonder as I close the third novel, Wicked deeds on a winter's night: Can the Immortal after dark series get any sweeter then this?

Bowen is desperate for the prize of The Hie, his heart knows and feels only one yearning: the return of his murdered mate Mariah to his life, to his body, to his heart. There isn't much that he wouldn't do to reach that goal. During the hunt for the artifacts Bowen meets a witch Mariketa and instantly passion ignites. Still Bowen focuses on his goal and More...

The third book in this amazing series starts before the end of the second book, which is quite unusual but was necessary to the story. We go back in time to see how Bowen MacRieve, werewolf, meets Mariketa, witch, during the Hie. The Hie is a paranormal version of “The amazing race”. In this race no one plays fair, including our two heroes and their actions during this competition will set the tone to their relationship.

I LOVED this book! My favorite in the series so far, the whole b More...

So a buddy on Twitter recommended I try these again in a search to find something to help me through my psy-changling fix. Add you know what? I did like this one. Enough that I'm looking to get my hands on the next book in the series. It's got manly-men. And you know how much I love a manly-man in a book!

So yeah, I liked Bowe. He was awesome! Not afraid to fight and he was surly. With a Scott's accent! I found myself reading it in Phil Gingante's voice (he's the one that did the Highla More...

LynnMarie’s Review

When I started the third full length novel in Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series, I thought that it couldn’t possibly be as good as the last one. How can an author continue to maintain such excellence in a series? Well, Kresley Cole has done it again!

Mari is a young witch, trying to prove herself, and develop her powers. She is stripped of her power, soon after entering a life and death contest, and is forced to team up with Bowen. He’s a Lykae, More...

Wicked Deeds On A Winter's Night is the third novel in the Immortals After Dark paranormal romance series. Although this series was advertised as a vampire series, this book does not have any vampires (at least not on the front line) in it. This book centers around characters Bowen and Mariketa are a Lykae (werewolf) and witch respectively. Bowen, in past novels, always seemed somewhat harsh and inflexible. It almost seemed unfair at first to pair him with such a fun-loving, and young, woman as More...
