311 Pelican Court
Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Reader,

One thing about Cedar Cove — people sure are interested in what other people are doing. Take me, for instance. Everybody in the town knows that my husband, Zach, and I recently got a divorce. Everybody also know that Judge Olivia Lockhard decreed a pretty unusual custody arrangement. It won't be the kids moving

I'm finished with this series. I can't stand the character of Grace. The woman can't make up her mind about what she wants - she still seems to need some sort of closure from her first marriage, she meets a wonderful man who would do anything for her and adores her, but she'd rather have an online affair with the brother of her best friend (she knows it's wrong because he's married - but he's not happy in his marriage and plans on leaving his wife ... blah, blah, blah). And Olivia - what woman w...more

"311 Pelican Court", the third book in Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series, focuses mainly on the divorce of Zach and Rosie Cox. Judge Olivia Lockhart has decreed that while Zach and Rosie will split custody, their children will stay in one house, and Zach and Rosie will move back and forth between houses. This unique arrangement will change their relationship in a way they never could have imagined. Olivia is struggling with her own relationship issues as she has to decide between getting back...more

I’ve really enjoyed this series that author Debbie Macomber has written. The characters are warm and engaging and the reader cannot help but to wonder what will happen next in Cedar Cove. Although this is classified as a romance novel, there’s a bit of a mystery as well.

The mystery begins when Dan Sherman, Grace’s husband, leaves his family. Later his body is found next to a suicide note. In the note, Dan informs Grace about an incident that happened during Vietnam. This incident has haunted him...more

the address of my least favorite person, Rosie, now divorced from Zach. Olivia's innovative custody ruling probably did a lot to bring these 2 back together again... and most importantly, bring them all closer together as a family.

Yay for Olivia and Jack...a wedding at the end.

Boo for Grace...what a horrible case of bad judgment. She carried an online affair with her old high school heart throb and Olivia's married brother, Will. Will lies and tells her that he and his wife are separated as he p...more

I have to admit that I didn't enjoy this cedar cove novel as much as the previous novel, but it still was an amazing novel. I found myself really waiting for Rosie and Zach's diagolue to come back. I really enjoyed their after divorce relationship, no matter how weird it was. This was a big book for Olivia and Grace. They had a number of life changes. I found Mary Ellen really interesting in this book also and I hope she continues to have a big part of the series.

The biggest focus of the story w...more

Happily, this 3rd book in the Cedar Cove series was a huge improvement on number 2, which was so badly written it felt as though it was penned by a school aged child.

This book continues the soap opera that is Cedar Cove, and continues the stories of Olivia and Jack, Grace and Dan and Cliff and Will, Justine and Seth, Maryellen and Jon, and Rosie and Zachary Cox, among many others.

It is fun reading these books. After a while you feel as though you live in this delightful and beautiful town in Was...more

Once again, Macomber brings us into the lives of the residents of Cedar Cove. We follow the trials and tribulations of Grace, Olivia, Charlotte, and everyone's respective children. Book 3 focuses on Zach and Rosie Cox, the couple we met in Book 2 whose marriage was falling apart. After getting divorced, Judge Lockhart makes a unique custody ruling which allows the children to remain in the family home and the parents to move back and forth. Can Zach and Rosie put their differences aside and focu...more

I started off quite liking this series of books by Debbie Macomber but now, the 3rd book in, I know she perhaps needs to refer back occasionally to what occurred in the characters' lives in the previous books BUT its getting on my nerves now! Gave up.

I completely flew through this book. I love this series. The characters are mostly likable, and the setting is one of my favorites. Debbie Macomber's novels are like a warm, cozy blanket. They usually end happy- which is very comforting- since real life can be so mean and cruel sometimes. Most of the characters this time around were very stubborn, and it was a little frustrating. There were a few new characters I didn't like- Roy and Corrie McAfee, and Stanley Lockhart, to name a few. I am enjoy...more

I am loving this series. I love how many new characters are always present, you never get bored. I do have to say that I am getting a bit sick of hearing about Olivia (the judge). It seem's with so many characters in the books that the author would have given the spotlight to another person more. But it always comes back to Olivia and Jack. I am hoping that book 4 has a little less of her in it. If not, I will still read it. But I feel there isn't much more to Olivia and Jack's relationship that...more

Part of ongoing series based in Cedar Cove. Great mix of mystery and intertwining of lives and love stories. Apparently this is the 3rd book in the series with 44 Cranberry being the next book.

3rd installment in the Cedar Cove series, comforting relationship saga set in a small town near Seattle in the present time. Familiar characters from earlier books return in strong roles, still working out relationships introduced in earlier books, plus a new family is introduced, in the midst of a serious conflict. The book explores how misunderstandings lead to conflicts and the end of relationships, and also how the love and support of friends and family can lead to new beginnings. Several ma...more

I won this book and was pretty sure I had read it before. Perhaps it had been a very long while or the characters were familiar from reading a previous of Debbie Macombers in the series. I picked it up because I wasn't feeling well and knew that Debbie Macomber is usually a good read for me and this book didn't disapoint. Interesting characters problems resolved at the end of the book. Romance and mystery involved in this one. I think that Cedar Cove has had so many books I'm not sure I want to...more

This book was ok. I was really into at first, but then it just seemed like it went on and on. I was glad that Maryellen finally realized that Jon was cool and they got together. Ditto with Olivia and Jack. And Zach and Rosie work out their problems. Now she just needs to get Grace and Cliff together, which happens in a later book I think. But these books kind of makes me not want to get into a relationship. All these people do is fight. Geez Debbie. There are some sane people out there in the wo...more

I love reading these books and this one did not disappoint. The Cox family has gotten a divorce which should have made life easier for Rosie and Zach Cox what they didn't count on was for Judge Olivia Lockhart decide that the kids get the house and the parents would alternate living there. Zach and Rosie have a lot to work on to find out where their marriage failed. Which they were able to accomplish. Olivia is dealing with two men who both want her and having to decide who she wants to be with....more

Still enthralled with the characters in this series. In fact, I am reading a short book not related to this series to try to wean myself a bit. So far all my free time is spent reading this series. Love how the stories come together for the characters, not always quickly though. That is why I have to keep reading to see who gets their happy ending and when. Cliffhangers abound in this series but I am enjoying them. So glad I found the bulk of the series at a flea market for just 25 cents a book....more

Eh. I liked the first two books in this series. This one however bored me to pieces. I read it all but was annoyed at how throughly the author re-describes all of the characters over and over again. I get that she does it so anyone can pick up any book in the series and not be lost, but if you read them in order..ITS ANNOYING. It rarely talked about the characters I like and I was just bored. I do want to know what happened to the dead guy Max. I started the next book but that sucks even worse.

I accidently began reading the Cedar Cove series out of sequence, although each book is easily enjoyable as a stand-alone book. This is one of the middle books in the series by Debbie Macomber. Even as new characters are introduced, many of the old characters resurface from time to time. I enjoyed the easy-to-read book but it took a little adjustment on my part as to the way each chapter jumped between the various stories as I endeavored to keep the various characters straight.

I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the Cedar Cove series! This book was perfect in every way and I loved the ending... Everybody had a happy ending! I was so happy that Maryellen and Jon were finally open and honest with each other, and was ecstatic for Zach and Rosie to make amends. I definitely recommend 311 Pelican Court, but only after you read 16 Lighthouse Road & 204 Rosewood Lane! :)

Thank you, Debbie Macomber, for this awesome series! I can't believe it's taken me so long to read these books...more

I really enjoy Debbie Macomber's books. I am reading this series and the Yarn Shop series..both are very enjoyable and I look forward to the next one in each series. Her characters are funny, exasperating, lovable, annoying....normal people. There isn't always a happy ending, but it's not all gloom and doom. It's believable. Her stories are believable and very enjoyable reads. Somehow, she manages to bring in enough background information on the characters that someone jumping in in the middle c...more

This was really well written. I enjoyed the fact that the stories revolved around people of all ages. Nice to see older people falling in love too. I think a bit more of an ethnic mix might make the stories more interesting, but this is very well portrayed middle-America.

I did find Grace annoying though. She doesn't know what she wants, and makes silly decisions. But I suppose that just goes to show how even nice sensible people are idiots when it comes to attraction and relationships.

Rosie and...more

This is the third book in Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. It continues on with many of the characters from the first two books. There are lots of different people intertwined in the book and many stores going on at once. There is drama with suicides and murders as well as romance and possibly affairs but also a fast and easy book to read if you can keep up with all of the different characters.

This is # 3 of the Pelican Cove Series. We follow Olivia and Jack, will they won't they? Zach & Rosie, just talk..Maryellen and Jon and little Katie..can they work it out? Then we are introduced to Bryce and Rachel...... Not my favorite of the books, but it was ok. I would encourage other people who post reviews to stop putting spoilers in their reviews!! There are allot for this book alone..

One thing about Cedar Cove people sure are interested in what other people are doing. Take me, for instance. Everybody in the town knows that my husband, Zach, and I recently got a divorce. Everybody also know that Judge Olivia Lockhard decreed a pretty unusual custody arrangement. It won't be the kids moving between my place and Zach's. We're the ones who'll be going back and forth!

This book had so many things going on and happy times. Olivia and Jack finally are on the same page. Maryellen and Jon- finally the girl came to her senses! Too bad Grace got into something that she shouldn't have been in and now she needs to live with the consequences of her actions. Rosie and Zac- when the kids helped create a special night for them- it brought tears to my eyes- so special.

In this installment, divorced couple Rosie and Zach Cox of 311 Pelican Court are finally coming to some understanding of why their marriage failed and are trying to reconcile.
Olivia is going to marry Jack. Yeah!! I am glad she picked him over Stan.
Maryellen and Jon finally came to their senses to are to also be married.

I love this series of books. Now I am reading the next installment.

Book 3 of the Cedar Cove series and once again, it starts with an unusual divorce decision - Zach and Rosie's kids get the house and it's the parents that have to shunt between houses.

There's also ongoing stories, especially about the older members of the community and what they go through to find love. Not all story lines are finished by the end of the book, allowing for them to be carried forward into the next book(s)
