I love to read biographies. Saw the movie Sixty-One about the 1961 season when Roger Maris and Micky Mantle competed for the all time Babe Ruth single season home run record of 60. Roger Maris survived incredible scrutiny from the press and the New York Yankee fans. He was so misunderstood until he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals where he was welcomed. He became an invaluable player there and retired to run the Gainsville, Fla. Budwiser distributorship. He still has not been inducted into ...more
