House of Waiting tells the story of Sarah, a Jewish woman from New York, and Roland Sing, a Indo-Caribbean man from British Guiana. Both outsiders in the U.S. in the 1950's, they struggle to understand each other and build a life together. Based on the story of her parents, Budhos tells a story that we don't hear about very often, and I learnd a lot about British Guiana.
