Ten-year-old Karla and her 9-year-old brother, Jamie, unexpectedly spend the summer in a dilapidated old cabin in Maine, which the family has inherited from an uncle. Dad wants to sell, but the kids would really like to keep the sudden vacation windfall.

A book I FINALLY remembered the name for because after 10 years my mom has forced me to deal with the multiple boxes of stuff I have been keeping at her house. Low and behold, one of them held my 6th grade reading journal! Thanks Mom! lol
