This is in Spanish and English but I read it in English. Why? Because this is the story of my life right now. No one wants to help offer ideas or input so I go ahead and just do it. Then people think they can have input and opinions after the fact "It should have been done this way" or "Maybe this way would be better" They also want to take the glory for all the work I do.

In general I think this is an important story. Many hands make light work. Don't be lazy, a Red Hen!!!

I often use this story to foster participation in activities, especially clean up time. I read the book prior to center time and during clean up I may comment "remember the cat did not get to eat any bread because he would not help, if your center is not clean you may miss something fun." At which tme I continue to the carpet and begin an activity. You should see how quickly the centers become clean.

Another great classic book that teaches the importance of working together. I would read the book in the beginning of the year to help with community building in a new class. This book does a good job of showing readers that it can be fun to help out others.
