Television reporter Meghan Collins is shocked when a stabbing victim who dies looks exactly like her. She doesn’t tell her mother about the woman, or the late-night fax she gets at home, claiming her death was a mistake, because Catherine Collins has enough on her mind. Ten months earlier her husband disappeared, supposedly a victim in a bridge accident. The authorities did not find any remains of Ed Collins or his car, however, so the insurance company is refusing to pay and her bills are pilin...more

Wow, this book had me on the edge of my seat at the end. Mary Higgins Clark writes with such a complex plot blending each component seamlessly into the story. All I can say is WOW! Just when I thought I had something figured out, something else would be revealed. If you want to read a good mystery with a lot of twists and turns that smoothly come together at the end read I'll Be Seeing You. You won't be sorry.

If you want a little bit about the book here it is:

I read this book looking for candy. Something that wouldn't take up too much head space and just be fun. It ended up being fun in the way that doing the same thing over and over again is fun. It followed the standard formula of intrigue, mystery, man and woman who realize they been there all along fall in love as the should have been. Women gets saved from murder at the last minute by said man. You know, it's like every other movie or book out there. The writing is also incredibly trite a predic...more

As always, Mary Higgins Clark's writing grabbed me right from the first page. She writes books that are exciting and very easy to read. She pulls you in to the story immediately and doesn't let up until it's over. I became involved in the story as well as with the characters and couldn't put it down until I found out what happened. The 2 mysteries worked well together and meshed believably at the end.

Just a side note...this book is based in Newtown, CT which is referred to as a "ritzy little to...more

So you have a twin you've never met, or is that so?
A genetically modified person who looks exactly like you has been found murdered, a chopper stuck in her heart, and you receive a chilling fax that says "Mistake. Annie was a mistake."
Oopsies. He's after you.

This book has a lot of elements that I love to read about in a story: mystery, romance, a well-woven plot, with some controversy to top it all off. I haven't read much from MHC but what I have read, I always like and this one is no exception. I really like the main character, Meaghan and became invested in all the relationships involving her. The twists and turns of her family was the most intriguing part for me.

The parts that fell flat for me were involving the secondary plot concerning invitro...more

So you need to understand from the outset that this is not great literature at all. It is an easy read suitable for a cross country flight or a day at the beach. I first read it when I was 14. It gets 4 stars from me because I think it is a fun book for its category, and my favorite of Mary's many, many books. And I do like Mary when I am in the mood; she is like watching Lifetime television.

The main character fits the same mold as the rest of Mary's characters: she is beautiful (a "cloud" of h...more

This book really made me think, was Meghan’s father really alive? He had another wife?! Who was sending the roses, leaving phone calls, parking cars, and sending faxes to Meghan and her mother? There is always a question about SOMETHING, all the way throughout the book. I think the thing that makes it so great is it really has the best of both worlds, suspense, thrill, mystery, romance, all fiction of course. Through the first part of the book I wanted to believe Meghan’s father was dead, but wh...more

Just a really easy summer-read mystery novel. There are a few plot issues if you start to analyze things. Better to just go along for the ride and not think too much.

Reporter, Meghan Collins, is trying to solve the mystery behind her father’s recent death when, on assignment in a New York City Hospital, she sees the corpse of a murdered woman who could have been her double. She can’t shake the belief there is a connection and soon finds herself deep into an investigation that puts her life in danger.

This is the 5th of the 75 books in my 2012 reading challenge and the first Mary Higgins Book I’ve read. I’ll Be Seeing You is a quick and easy read, with an inte...more

I read this book years ago and I was hooked. I became a fan. Mary Higgins Clark tells a powerful and convincing story.

This book is about the young reporter Meghan Collins, who sees the sheet-wrapped corpse in a New York City hospital, she feels as if she's staring into her own face. And she can’t the feeling that this is somehow related/ or that there’s a connection to her father’s recent death. So she conducted her own investigation and found herself in danger.

A great mystery! I found this book to be a real page turner, right from the beginning, with a surprise ending that I never would have guessed. Mary Higgins Clark is a super storyteller, a master of suspense. I like the way that she keeps the language clean, at least in the books I've read so far, without resorting to the use of profanity as so many others, such as Les Roberts, do. I like the characters and descriptions in this story, but will not reveal any of the plot, which could spoil it for...more

diesmal konnte Mary Higgins Clark mich doch wieder überzeugen.

Sehr schöner Mix aus...more

Mary Higgins Clark is not an author that I usually read, but good friend Marie put it into my hands several months ago. I picked it up and read in within 48 hours. It was a nice quickread.

About a child who had been missing after the babysitter fell asleep at the park with him in the stroller. Two years later on the babys' birthday pictures were released that had the kidnapper impersonating the mother taking him out of his stroller. Yes, there were some twists/turns, but everything falls into pla...more

A good light mystery from Mary Higgins Clark. A little too much going on... an almost twin being killed, father missing and presumed dead, budding romance, mother at the brink of losing the family restaurant, creepy stalker, infertility clinic, switched baby?, murder of clinic worker who just happens to be unqualified, father has second family??...Not very believable -- couldn't possibly happen to any one person. Still I couldn't sleep until I finished it.

Mary Higgins Clark is one of what I call my light summer reads - even tho this was October. She writes a pretty good mystery using the same basic formula - it's always a woman in danger, she is stronger than she realizes and everything works out. After a friend recommended I read her, I decided to read her books in the order written, even though they are stand alone books - the stories don't carry over. I thought it might be interesting to see how her writing developed or changed. Haven't notice...more

I didn't like it but I didn't hate it. Each page fills you in with masses of information, which was a positve and the story pieced together well so it was easy to understand. But i thought the writing was somewhat to easy, it wasnt written for a great captivating suspense book. Although what she write is different and new than to any mystery book, which made me wanting more of the story. It was a nice read but I expected more of a great popular writer.

This is the best MHC book that I have read so far. A reporter uncovers her fathers suspicious disappearance which turns out to be a murder case. Many twists and turns from an in-vitro fertilization center's scandal involving her father and his partner. She also discovers that her father was (before his death) living a double life with another woman and daughter, who was murdered and looked almost identical to the reporter. Interesting story.

I like Mary Higgins clark books. At first I thought this one was going to be predictable. Some of it was, but it takes a twist that I didn't figure out until the end.

When I started reading the book there were a lot of characters being introduced and was finding it difficult keeping track . Some of them i don't think needed to be introduced because they weren't part of the story.

I read this in sixth grade (I read a LOT of Mary Higgins Clark books as an early teen, actually, and I'm not exactly sure why), and grabbed it when I weeded it this week because of all the books of hers I read, this is the one I remember the most. I did remember actually a fair amount of detail about it very accurately, which really surprised me.

I made the mistake of starting this on the treadmill the day after Thanksgiving. I was planning to get my Christmas decorations up that day and, needless to say, that didn't happen. I did, however, get the book finished before I went to bed that night. Another page turner from the Queen of Suspense.

MHC is always a quick, easy and enjoyable read for me! I love all the twists and turns and trying to figure out who the bad guy is! As I was reading, I realized I had read this before, but I still found it enjoyable and tried to remember it from before - still found the end a sweet surprise!

This was my first Mary Higgins Clark and I must say I was disappointed. This was way too choppy to be even remotely suspenseful. I kept hoping I'd get to the end soon so I could start the next book on my TBR list. That's not an attitude I like to have while reading.

I am not as big as fan of Mary Higgin Clark as i am of other but her books this one included do keep you on the edge of your seat. They have a bit more romance to them than i would like but if you like that then this is all for you.

This was the first Mary Higgins Clark novel I've read and it probably won't be the last. I had just finished a non-fiction book while on a camping trip with friends for a week and was given this novel. I still had several days left and nothing else to read so I welcomed it gladly! To my surprise, I found it entertaining and a nice read over summer vacation. I'm sure I will probably pick up another one of her books in the future when I want a good light read.

I've gotta stop reading her books late at night... Sheesh! While I never figure out the person whose behind it all... ever... I've just read a few too many of her books in a row. I'm going to take a break before I read the next one. ^^
