I did like this book, mainly because MHC really does a good job of setting up multiple possible perps, but her writing at times almost childish, with some fairly clumsy phrasing. I did get sucked in to the mystery, and enjoyed the character of Fran, but the main character drove me nuts, she was such a victim. The passing nod to personal growth at the end, where she realizes that believing in yourself blah blah blah was too little too late.

I didn't finish this book - it was so obvious what the plot was and who the killer was that I felt it would just be a waste of time when I could be reading something better.

Back Cover Blurb:
After serving six years in prison for the manslaughter of her husband, Molly Carpenter Lasch emerges to face the media a changed and damaged woman. The evidence against her for the death of the influential Dr Lasch was irrefutable, but she has no memory whatsoever of the night that she apparently crushed his...more

I have to agree with the description of the book here on Goodreads in that the conspiracy involving physicians seems a bit much, but the book was interesting with a nice twist at the end.

This is another suspenseful mystery from Mary Higgins Clark to keep you at the edge of your seat. Plenty of good drama and intrigue for a good read.

In the book we'll meet again there is a doctor named Gary Larch. Who is killed and the first suspect is his wife who is found in her bed covered in his blood. When she wakes up and starts to remember and she says that she tried to save him but his skull was crushed in by his favorite statue. Very, very predictable. I could guess within 20 pages who the murderer was. Usually, Clark's protagonists are interesting and strong women. But in this case, I really could not care less if Molly went to prison for murder, was murdered or committed suicide. There was also none of the suspense in the last pages. I kept waiting for suspense, but not happening! But in spite of the predictability, it was still an interesting plot and a very average read.

After famous actress Natalie Raines is found in her home, dying from a gunshot wound, police immediately suspect her theatrical agent and jealous soon-to-be-ex-husband, Gregg Aldrich. But no charges are brought against him until two years later, when a career criminal suddenly claims Aldrich had tried to hire him to kill her.

The case is a plum assignment for attractive thirty-two-year-old assistant prosecutor Emily Wallace. She spends long hours preparing for the trial, and unaware of a seemingl...more

Mary Higgins Clark was a favorite author of my dear Mother. I had this book on my shelf and in a sentimental mood, decided to reread. This is a tale of murder and intrigue in the medical community. It is told through the perspective of a strong female character, Fran who ultimately solves the mystery. Sometimes, a light mystery novel is just the ticket to happiness and this was for me.

I don't know what it is about Clark's books, but I can never figure out what the title of the book has to do with the story. I'm really stumped on this one.

Interesting plot and story, but the "memory loss" is a bit traumatic. Does this really happen? The lead character was far too weak for my taste.

Also, no love interest developed, very sad for me and for the main character.

This book is absolutely interesting. When reading it, I couldn't stop. I never knew what was going to happen next. We'll meet again alway has an unexpected twist to each event. Everything said is so decieving, you never know whos lying and whos telling the truth. I reccomend this book to anybody who loves crimes and mysteries or just to read.

Although the plot itself wasn't terrible, there were just too many subplots and red herrings. Too many characters, too many trails, made it a maze rather than a wonderful journey. It was jarring. I continued to read it simply because I wanted to know if the killer was who I thought it was after about page 50 and it was.

This my thrid book by Ms Clark and I am really enjoying her style. I loved the ethic's issue at play here and how the nurse stood her ground. It brought back some issues of my years as an RN and how sometimes the Doctor's would try and bully you into doing what you knew was wrong. Great read.

Reminded me of a book called Fatal Cure by Robin Cook. They were both written in the late '90's and tackle the subject of the change in our medical system to HMO's. It is only a mediocre read but because I found it at an ATM as a wild bookcrossing release I have fond memories of it.

This book was a real page-turner! Mary Higgins Clark had me completely fooled as to who was the real killer. Plenty of red herrings to lead me astray. "We'll Meet Again" was one of the best of her books, at least the ones I have read so far. I'll be looking for another one of her books to read soon.

Another great book by Mary Higgins Clark. Investigative reporter Fran Simmons puts her own life in danger when she sets out to discover who really killed Dr. Gary Lasch, a murder for which his wife, Molly, has spent years in jail, even though she has no memory of the night of his death.
Melissa
I really loved the way the chapters were arranged so that each one what talking about another character. It kept you in suspense about whatever character you have previously been reading about, but also every new character introduced had something to do with and was connected to the ultimate mystery. This book presents some disturbing thoughts about healthcare and medicine and there are some real life villains in the story, but it is an interesting and enjoyable read nonetheless.

I absolutely LOVVEEEEDDDD this book!! Great story line/plot. Keeps you interested until the very end. The best part is not knowing who the actual killer was. Sometimes you really did think that the main character had gone crazy and had really killed her husband and husbands gf. Amazing book, definitely recommended!

Typical Clark mystery book...could totally see who the murderer was from the start, but still an interesting plot. I wonder if this book (written 1999) was inspired by the movie, "The Fugitive" done in 1993? Anyhow, good read just to unwind at night.

What an interesting story. The title of the book threw me off a bit but I caught the pun in the book. Sometimes I had to go back and re-read a chapter because there are a lot of characters. The book moves along well and of course, in MHC style--a twist to the ending story.
Laura
Solid 2 until the last 10 pages. A twist I had NOT seen coming so I'm bumping to 3 (though 2.5 is more accurate)
The plot is preposterous and entirely too neatly tied up (sans twist) to be any sort of reality or even plausible mystery but I'm remembering what I enjoyed about her as a high school student reader :-)
Katie
This was a typical Mary Higgins Clark book, but that isn't a bad thing. I know what I am going to get when I pick up one of her books: an good book that keeps me interested the whole way through. Nothing groundbreaking but a solid read.
Christine
This book is the literary equivalent of cotton candy - fluffy, light, no substance whatsoever, but kind of fun every once in a while. I'd rate it closer to 2.5. A fast read, given that the chapters are generally a page or two long, but the story line is rather predictable.

My first Mary Higgins Clark book. It was okay for a time-waster, but I probably won't be seeking out more. The plot was just a little too implausible, and the writing was awkward in spots. I'll go back to working my way through Patricia Wentworth's Miss Silver mysteries when I need a good whodunit.
Melissa
Audiobook Review: Although I've read this book before, I decided to listen to it as well. I am a big fan of the narrator, Jan Maxwell. This book was a listening adventure both for the story and the narration.

Not my favorite MHC book, but definately a good read. It kept me turning the pages during a particularly boring shift at work. There's plenty of suspsense and twists concerning whodunit, making it a worthwhile read.
