c2008: FWFTB: New Orleans: drones, altered, escaped. Where do I start with this one. As the overall star rating for this book is quite good, it is clear that I am in the minority but, jeesh, this book was awful. Perhaps it was because it was the second in a series and I was not invested in the characters. I found the dialogue to be banal, the plotting weak and the clichéd characters unbearable. I suspected this book wouldn't be great when I saw it at the library, but I picked it up in desperation since I couldn't find many horror offerings to read for Halloween.
